This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching hands-on skills, connects well with learners from diverse backgrounds, and is passionate about preparing the next generation of electricians, maintenance technicians, and automation specialists.\nOur instructors play a meaningful role in student success-both inside the classroom and through active engagement in advising, mentoring, and program development.\n**Applicants selected for interviews will be asked to deliver a brief (15-minute) teaching demonstration.\n10-month faculty contracts span the academic year, typically from August to May, with no course assignments during June and July. Although the contract covers 10 months, the salary is spread over 12 months, ensuring a consistent monthly salary.\nBenefits are provided year-round. Renewal of the contract depends on factors such as student enrollment and available funding.\nFaculty may be assigned courses that include both traditional college students and high school students earning dual credit. This dynamic mix offers a unique opportunity to engage learners at different stages of their academic journey.\nJob Duties:\nTeach a full-time course load each fall and spring in areas such as:Electrical systems\nMechanical systems\nPLCs\nRobotics and automation\n\nProvide engaging, high-quality instruction in both theory and hands-on applications.\nDeliver instruction through a combination of in-person and web-enhanced formats.\nParticipate in program and college committees as needed.\nUse assessment tools to continuously improve teaching and learning outcomes.\nAssist with student recruitment, retention, and program outreach.\nStay current with industry trends to ensure the curriculum remains aligned with employer needs.\nBe available to teach during daytime or evening hours as required.\nAdditional compensated summer teaching opportunities may be available.\nMaintenance and care of classrooms and training materials will also be expected.\nTeach at various levels to help support the College.\nOther duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nAt least 2 years of industry experience or training in the subject area\nDetail-oriented, self-motivated, able to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.\nSkilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociate's degree or higher with studies related to the industry\nIndustry certifications\n5+ years of experience in the field\nPrior teaching experience.\nProficiency with Learning Management Systems (such as Blackboard, Canvas, etc.)\nSignificant teaching experience, particularly at the college level\nStrong dedication to enhancing student learning and achievement\nPrevious experience in a community college setting\nEmployee Rights -Employee Polygraph Protection Act\n Equal Opportunity Employer -
