This position ensures that work orders are accurately picked, verified, transferred, and documented to support manufacturing and warehouse operations.\nThe Forklift Operator plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, and ensuring timely material movement. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced in operating various types of powered industrial trucks in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nForklift Operation & Material Movement\nSafely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations.\nTransport raw materials, packaging components, finished goods, and other inventory throughout the facility.\nStage materials for production according to work orders and production schedules.\nLoad, unload, and transfer materials between warehouse, production, and storage locations.\nComplete material movements accurately and efficiently while minimizing product damage and inventory discrepancies.\nInspect forklifts before each shift and report equipment issues immediately.\nInventory Control & Warehouse Operations\nAccurately pick, verify, count, and transfer materials based on work orders and production requirements.\nVerify inbound, returned, and relabeled materials before placing them into inventory.\nEnsure all inventory transactions are processed accurately and timely using warehouse management systems and scanners.\nMaintain inventory accuracy by following established inventory control procedures.\nAssist with cycle counts and inventory audits as required.\nSupport warehouse organization and proper storage practices.\nDocumentation & Systems\nUtilize barcode scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP systems to complete inventory transactions.\nVerify documentation for completeness and accuracy.\nMaintain records of material movements and inventory transactions.\nReport inventory discrepancies, material shortages, or damaged products to supervision.\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow all OSHA, Cal/OSHA, company safety policies, and warehouse operating procedures.\nAdhere to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality requirements.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.\nParticipate in safety meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nUtilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nGeneral Responsibilities\nCollaborate with Warehouse, Production, Planning, Inventory Control, and Quality teams to support business objectives.\nAssist with receiving, shipping, staging, and warehouse projects as needed.\nSupport departmental goals related to safety, inventory accuracy, productivity, and customer service.\nPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nMinimum 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.\nExperience operating various types of forklifts and powered industrial trucks.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nBasic understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations.\nAbility to read and follow work orders, material requests, and warehouse instructions.\nBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience using barcode scanners and warehouse management systems.\nStrong mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nPreferred Qualifications\nForklift certification.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience with ERP systems such as QAD or similar warehouse management platforms.\nExperience supporting production operations through material staging and inventory transactions.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the workday.\nAbility to sit and operate a forklift for extended periods.\nAbility to work safely around moving machinery, warehouse equipment, and forklift traffic.\nAbility to perform repetitive movement and material handling activities.\nWork Environment\nClean, temperature-controlled warehouse environment.\nModerate to heavy forklift and warehouse traffic.\nModerate noise levels from forklifts and material handling equipment.\nFrequent interaction with warehouse, production, and inventory
