We are looking for strong mechanics who can set up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production lines in a fast-paced, cGMP-regulated environment.\nGeneral Description\nThe Maintenance Mechanic ensures high equipment reliability and line performance by executing setups/changeovers, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and small fabrications. Mechanics collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality to meet schedule, safety, and compliance requirements. This role is essential in maintaining uptime and supporting efficient, high-quality manufacturing across packaging and filling operations.\nSpecific Responsibilities & Duties\nSafety, Compliance & Documentation\nPromote a safe work environment and follow all HSE, OSHA, LOTO, cGMP, and SOP requirements.\nMaintain clean, organized, and audit-ready work areas.\nComplete accurate documentation including changeover logs, cleaning/wash-out logs, maintenance/PM records, downtime reports, and other department forms.\nReport equipment issues, hazards, and abnormalities promptly to Maintenance or Production Management.\nLine Setup, Changeovers & Operations Support\nSet up equipment for scheduled production runs.\nPerform efficient wash-outs, cleaning, sanitization, and line changeovers.\nReview and update setup sheets and follow production work orders.\nPartner with Line Leaders and operators to ensure smooth line performance and minimize downtime.\nMaintenance, Troubleshooting & Repairs\nPerform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on packaging and filling equipment.\nTroubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues.\nExecute equipment repairs, adjustments, rebuilds, and system optimizations.\nRead and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and P&IDs to support troubleshooting and repair planning.\nAssist with parts ordering and maintaining critical spares inventory.\nEquipment & Systems Involved\nMechanics will work across a wide range of equipment including but not limited to:\nRotary and inline liquid fillers (Pacific, Kalish, Simplex, MRM)\nTube fillers (Norden)\nBottle unscramblers (New England)\nCappers (Resina, Pack West)\nLabelers (Accraply, Sherwood, Biner-Ellison)\nInkjet coders (Videojet)\nConveyors, motors, drives, pumps, mixers, hydraulic and pneumatic components\nShrink wrappers, case sealers, heat tunnels, cartoners, and auxiliary packaging systems\nCollaboration & Continuous Improvement\nSupport engineering trials, line qualifications, and process improvements.\nRecommend enhancements to equipment reliability, changeover efficiency, and safety.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support production demands.\nMentor operators and peers on basic maintenance practices and equipment care.\nQualifications\nWe are hiring four Mechanics and will consider experience across multiple levels.
