and coordinates through the Manufacturing Manager - utilization, maintenance and improvement of equipment in order to conduct the manufacturing of quality products. \n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDirect all manufacturing activities as they pertain to the area of responsibility.\nMust be capable of identifying, selecting, weighing raw materials from pre-determined formulations. \nDiscuss and schedule batches to meet priorities with the Manufacturing Manager.\nDirect and coordinate the manufacturing and matching of standards and specifications to a level where laboratory and/or customer approval may be obtained.\nMaintain quality level of product.\nAssist staff and others in making improvements in methods and procedures.\nMaintain costs within guidelines, initiate cost reductions within area of responsibility, while maintaining quality product.\nAttempt to reduce waste material and rework.\nMaintain GMP’s.\nDirectly trains personnel assigned them to perform job requirements of the department.\nResponsible for employees’ safety through proper training in a safe work environment.\nConduct performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports on a regular basis for growth and development.\nResponsible for driving employee engagement and administering fair and consistent disciplinary action.\nAct as advisor to Manufacturing Manager in the creation of recommended budgets for the department.\nOperates within budgets as established.\nResponsible for the maintenance of good housekeeping within the department. \nOrders and maintains proper supplies for department with approval of immediate supervisor. \nRequired to work Saturdays as needed.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School or equivalency diploma.\nMinimum of two (2) years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment with leadership experience preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nProven conflict resolution ability.\nExcellent mathematical, written, and verbal skills.\nExcellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nHigh degree of responsibility and maintaining confidentiality. \nComputer literacy.\nDemonstrated strong safety behavior and record.\nKnowledge of plant G.M.P.’s, environmental, safety and quality control procedures.\nMust have and maintain an acceptable attendance
