Promote and maintain a safe, efficient work environment while providing employee training and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDirect all filling and/or assembly activities as they pertain to area of responsibility, assuring the \ncorrect product, proper quantity, best quality at the least cost.\nAssure all the required materials, parts and supplies necessary for the filling and/or assembly of \nthe product are available.\nTimely reconciliation of component discrepancies.\nMaintain a steady flow of work through the department.\nMaintain alert attention of the progress throughout the department of all the products being filled \nand assembled, and also to eliminate downtime.\nMeet the master schedule of required production output.\nMeet budget guidelines as established, i.e., efficiencies, and control overtime.\nMaintain Good Manufacturing Practices.\nResponsible for all employees' safety through proper training in a safe work environment.\nResponsible for the maintenance of good housekeeping within the department.\nDesignate all necessary information in the form of specifications, hourly standards, etc., as required for employees under supervision.\nMaintain records, as necessary, that ensure speed and accuracy of efficiency within the department.\nParticipate in the Batch Record Reviewing process to ensure the expected timely transition of records from Operations to Quality. [Two-day turnaround from completion to BR submission to Quality].\nTo maintain within the department, the clerical and control procedures specified by the Operations Manager.\nOrders and maintains production supplies for department with approval of the Operations Manager.\nInitiate improvements to equipment, procedures and labor staffing to improve costs, quality and Good Manufacturing Practices.\nAssist staff and others in making improvements in methods and procedures.\nEvaluate subordinates' performance.\nTake responsibility for the writing of: Quality Investigations, Non-Conformances, Safety reports,\nDisciplinary Action write-ups, or any other supportive departmental documentation.\nProvide training as required with appropriate timely documentation.\nEnsure appropriate properly trained selection of staffing to support traditional line requirements.\nProvide appropriate trained staffing for Trials, Validations and New project start-ups.\nDirectly train and evaluate personnel assigned to perform job requirements of the department and recommend merit increases to Management.\nHold and document monthly Department Communications Meetings.\nReview all departmental employees annually.\nAct as advisor to the Operations Manager in the make-up of recommended budgets for the \ndepartment.\nStand in for Operations Manager when necessary.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School diploma or equivalency required. Associates or B.S.
