We value quality, security by design, continuous improvement, and creating long-term impact where every second counts.\n As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will own the design and development of complex electromechanical systems for next generation moving camera products. You will serve as a technical lead on development projects, making critical architecture, design and risk decisions.\nStrategic:\nOwn mechanical and electromechanical subsystem design from concept through series production.\nAct as lead engineer on development projects, guiding a small team and driving technical execution.\nDevelop subsystem architectures that meet system-level requirements for performance, cost reliability, serviceability and time-to-market.\nLead cross-functional design review and technical risk assessments (FMEA, Focus Area Matrices).\nWork with senior technical staff in developing key architectures for the future of the portfolio.\nOperational:\nSupport lifecycle management efforts including EOL, cost down, and field complaint investigations.\nMaintain complex BOM structures supporting multiple product variants.\nPartner with international suppliers on tooling development, DFM reviews, and process validation.\nCreate a culture of continuous improvement with regular retrospectives.\nSupport team in risk management and mitigation strategies.\nDesign, model, and validate complex mechanical assemblies and mechanisms.\nSupport PCBA packaging, enclosure design, and thermal management strategies.\nDevelop and validate prototypes through simulation and physical testing.\nPerform tolerance analysis, GD&T definition, and design for manufacturability and reliability.\nImplement designs considering global environment, regulatory and compliance requirements.\nPeople:\nMentor and support the development of early-career engineers.\nCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure system-level integration and success.\nWho You Are:\nSuccess in this role requires a system thinking approach and rigorous attention to detail. You are calm under pressure and possess the ability to bring reasoned approach to resolve topics. You enjoy the challenge of design, finding unique ways to accomplish the end goal. You can quickly distill the core of an issue and create actionable paths forward.\n Required:\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.\n8+years of experience in electromechanical product development, including products released to series production.\nDemonstrated experience designing mechatronic systems integrating mechanical and electronic hardware.\nExperience as a senior engineer, planning, directing and checking the activities of junior colleagues.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical topics into actionable decisions.\nPreferred:\nMCAD/ECAD fluency [Creo Preferred].\nThermal and structural simulation (static & dynamic).\nExperience designing for global compliance and environmental requirements.\nGD&T (ISO and ASME).\nDesign for vibration, shock and reliability.\nDesign experience with multiple materials: sheet-metal, die-casting, plastic injection molding (optical and structural), CNC machining, and die-cutting.\nExperience with optics, including lens design for illuminators.\nExperience with Intellectual Property management.\nKnowledge of integrating AI tools into engineering tasks.\nDemonstrated ability in problem solving activities employing tools such as 8D & CAR.\nQuality certification: ASQ DFSS Greenbelt or similar.\nThis role is hybrid with 3 days in-office per week. Candidates must live in a commutable distance to Lancaster, PA site. Travel Expectation, 10% (Domestic and International).
