Electromechanic Technicians troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness and reliability, reports to the Maintenance Technical Supervisor and is a key member of our “Customer Ready!” quality team.\nDuties and Responsibilities: \nDiagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.\nGather and maintain specific records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures, and processes used in the Eagle Pass plant.\nCreate and maintain inspection plans, logs, and reports.\nPerform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot/repair on all pneumatic and hydraulic systems.\nCollect and analyze data using statistical analysis methods.\nTrain and communicate with production as to the proper use of equipment, to obtain higher production efficiency.\nActively assist with planning/scheduling for tracking: work orders, parts, purchase requisitions.\nDiagnose and repair/replace faulty electrical components, such as transformers, lighting fixtures, relays, switches, drives, electrical Motors, Using electronic test equipment and hand tools.\nPerform general electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and installations.\nPro-actively design and fabricate production equipment.\nPerform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills & Competencies:\nTechnical Knowledge: Constantly seeks opportunities to expand technical knowledge, skills or experience. This includes knowledge of DCS/PLC control systems, high voltage equipment, PLC applications, line drives, process instrumentation.\nExperience with robot’s systems such as Yaskawa.\nAbility to troubleshoot and repair electronic and computerized equipment including PLCs, AC/DC drives, motor control systems, and related equipment and systems.\nKnowledge of OSHA and safe work practices.\nEffective Communication: Provides well thought-out, concise and timely oral and written information, keeps management informed, and shares information with others.\nAbility to follow written instructions and documented procedures.\nDemonstrate high integrity and ethical standards, as well as good judgment and decision-making ability.\nMaintain quality and accuracy with attention to detail.\nManage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities, with the ability to multi-task and maintain professionalism.\nBilingual in Spanish and English required.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience:\nBachelor or Technical college degree in Electrical or Mechatronics preferred. In lieu of degree, 6+ years of relevant experience\n3+ years of Electrical and Mechanical experience\nKnowledge of MIG & TIG welding\nRelevant operations skills of material handling equipment, such as forklifts and trailers\nAdvance knowledge of electric software platforms, Siemens systems a plus\nDrawing design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus.\nOther:\nApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
