The ideal candidate is someone who fosters trust, demonstrates a sense of urgency, consistently hits quality standards, and makes decisions in support of company guidelines.\nRequirements\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nWorks with manufacturing supervisors and other engineers in developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods by utilizing knowledge of product design, raw materials, tooling, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards\nParticipates in the process of identifying and qualifying new production equipment and systems \nInvestigate production problems and recommend improvements\nSupervises technical staff, including the maintenance department and tooling shop\nWorks with the safety supervisor to perform hazard analysis on new equipment and systems to ensure safe working conditions\nEvaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements\nAnalyzes production processes, schedules, methods, and other data to understand future production requirements needed for the manufacturing process, to assist management in decision-making \nEnsures the company's manufacturing processes comply with all government laws and regulations\nAnalyzes and plans workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency\nCoordinates equipment maintenance and repair services, and ensures the manufacturer's procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational\nCoordinates implementation of Engineering Change Orders and recording the cut-in date.\nAdhere to health, fire, and safety regulations; identify potential safety hazards and report such to the Human Resources Department\nUpholds Keiser's Commitment to Customer Satisfaction at all times\nPerform related duties as assigned\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering required, preferably from a technical college with hands-on field experience requirements \n5-10 years of practical experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer\nFamiliarity using 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Computer-aided Design (CAD), Computer-aided Manufacturing (CAM)\nExperience in various manufacturing processes and techniques (5 years required, 10 years preferred)\nExperience in executing improvement projects with LEAN Manufacturing concepts\nDesirable\nData-driven decision maker, good negotiation skills, positive attitude\nExcellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills\nDemonstrated leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work well under pressure\nPassion for exercise and wellness\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT\nThe physical demands and work environment described here represent those that must be met and encountered by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
