This role ensures efficient labor management, safety compliance, and excellent customer service. The Supervisor leads and develops warehouse staff, enforces policies and procedures, and collaborates closely with management to meet operational goals and maintain a safe, productive work environment.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nSupervise all warehouse staff and maintain regular communication with the Warehouse Manager.\nOversee and coordinate all inventory control, shipping, and receiving activities to ensure accurate order fulfillment, timely deliveries, and proper documentation.\nEnsure accurate inventory counts, perform cycle counts as needed, investigate discrepancies, and maintain appropriate records to support inventory accuracy.\nMonitor and manage receiving and shipping schedules; ensure proper unloading, loading, and handling of materials and products.\nPerform or oversee clerk/inventory tasks related to receiving, shipping, and scheduling of inbound/outbound loads. Ensure all documentation is maintained per Keller and customer requirements.\nMaintain accurate payroll records including timely approval of timecards and time off requests. Communicate any issues with HR and adhere to all attendance policy standards.\nCoordinate new employee onboarding and training. Work with HR to complete new hire paperwork, assign safety training, and track retraining requirements.\nAssist with initial and ongoing forklift training, including individualized retraining to ensure daily safe equipment operation.\nReview and maintain all equipment inspection and maintenance records, reporting any issues immediately.\nLead daily shift Huddleboard meetings to communicate departmental goals, review performance, conduct safety discussions, and set expectations (including warm-up stretches, Safety Training, KPIs, etc.).\nFor food grade warehouses, lead a food safety culture. Audit and maintain food safety standards within a facility.\nLead and participate in accident investigations and corrective actions. Administer drug testing as required by training and company policy.\nEnsure OSHA compliance, complete Behavior-Based Safety Observations, and enforce all safety requirements. Report any violations immediately.\nBuild and maintain positive customer relationships to support service excellence and long-term business growth.\nStrategically plan and manage all warehouse functions-receiving, storage, shipping, order fulfillment-to maximize accuracy and minimize claims.\nSupervise daily warehouse operations including labor scheduling and space utilization, ensuring activities are executed efficiently and within budget.\nAnalyze current and forecasted volumes to plan daily labor needs appropriately.\nCreate and maintain a well-trained, cross-functional staff. Conduct timely performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.\nMaintain a facility safety and security plan in compliance with all company and client expectations.\nActively lead and support company-driven Continuous Improvement initiatives.\nAdditional duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nEffective Communication - clearly sharing information and expectations while actively listening to the team.\nCoaching and Development - supporting employee growth through training, mentoring, and feedback.\nTeam Building: Fosters a positive and collaborative team environment to enhance productivity and morale.\nAccountability - holding oneself and team members responsible for meeting goals and following policies.\nEmployee development and performance management skills\nAbility to foster a cooperative environment, as well as supervise and train assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.\nExceptional communication and organizational skills.\nKnowledge of inventory management practices\nSkill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment\nAbility to analyze processes and make recommendations for improvements.\nAbility to develop, plan, and implement short and long rage goals.\nAbility to stoop, push, pull, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.\nAdditional Qualifications and Experience:\nAt least 1 year of Warehouse Leadership Experience preferred.\nWMS and handheld scanner experience.\nOccasional travel may be required for training, company events, or site visits.\nMust obtain Industrial Truck Certification through in-house training.\nMust be willing to work overtime weekends and holidays as requested by manager.\nPPE as required by each facility - refer to handbook for specific requirements.\nWorking Conditions:\nWork involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.\nKeller Logistics Group is an asset-based third party logistics (3PL) provider headquartered in Defiance, Ohio.
