Our values of integrity, collaboration, and excellence enable us to lead the industry in providing the optimal solution for our clients.\nKeller is looking for an experienced Project Engineer based out of our Kansas City, MO location.\nThe Project Engineer provides onsite support on multiple projects while learning the advanced techniques of Geotechnical Engineering. Reviews field data, compiles quality control reports and prepares project submittals. Assists with bid preparations, estimates and tracks change order claim work. Performs quality control inspection of delivered materials and monitors the implementation of the project quality control plan as per the project specifications.\nResponsibilities\nProject Support and Initial Planning\nReviews and understands project and contract requirements.\nPerforms pre/post bid job site inspections.\nPrepares and compiles information and documentation for project and contractual requirements.\nAlerts the Superintendent and Project Manager of potential project impact relating to resource management, crew make-up/size and other essential items pertaining to the project.\nResponsible for material and quantity take-offs, scoping documents, terms and conditions, and delivery as applicable to support the procurement process.\nResponsible for production analysis.\nAccountable for the submittal process on the project, including design calculations (if applicable), data reports and as-built drawings, reviewing production drawings and specifications, and scheduling layout.\nResponsible for the project Quality Assurance/Quality Control program including tests and data analysis from automated computer/software systems.\nAssists in preparing blue book documentation (JHA, PSP, etc) and pre-planning meeting\nEnsures work is in compliance with contract requirements, and project plans and specifications.\nAssists in mentoring field engineers.\nRisk Management\nFully understands and complies with Keller risk management policies and procedures.\nRecognizes major risks and takes appropriate measures to reduce risk to the company.\nChange Management\nWorks with Project Manager to track and log any changes to the project and identifies changes that need to be escalated.\nCollects necessary documentation to identify and determine impact of potential contract changes, disputes, and claims.\nFinancial Management\nAnalyzes targets and goals, job cost summaries, and other reports.\nCreates and obtains approval of the initial budget and subsequent updates/changes.\nReviews weekly job cost summaries and advises the Project Manager.\nCollaborates with pre-construction and the project team to manage the job transition process, communicate project requirements, and develop the initial procurement plans and budgets.\nGathers monthly financial reports and participates in recap reviews.\nTracks production quantities for revenue billing.\nSafety and Quality Assurance\nEnsures compliance with all Keller and OSHA safety requirements.\nIn the event of a safety incident, work in partnership with HSEQ to support employees and project management teams per Keller policy.\nAssists in resolving all quality nonconformance issues.\nExercises stop work authority for Safety and Quality issues.\nAdditional Duties\nThe responsibilities listed above are minimum expectations for role.
