College graduates welcome!\nPosition Responsibilities:\nTake statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses Obtain and review evidence, reports, and medical records Investigate losses and identify coverage issues.\nNegotiate settlements with claimants and claimant’s attorneys.\nResearch state laws and medical terms.\nAttends Basic Claims training, together with any other programs of study selected for the employee's training. Travel may be required during training.\nMust maintain a passing average in all formal courses that have been developed for the individual. An acceptable level of competencies pertaining to the position must be maintained. Formal Performance Evaluations must result in a \"Meets Expectations\" or higher rating.\nState Licensing exams required to fulfill licensing requirements in the States to be handled. If State has required time period to secure license, employee must be in compliance within that stated time period.\nPosition Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree or 1+ years of insurance experience or 3 years equivalent professional experience required.\nStrong customer service skills.\nProficient typing/computer skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nBilingual is a plus but not required.\nKemper is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
