This position will be involved in full stack software development projects using Angular/Python/Java ecosystem.\nResponsibilities:\nIn this role, you will be responsible for multiple software development activities including design, development, build and testing of code. Closely work with Business Analysts and Lead Developers to understand the business requirement for implementing new system components, enhancements and fixing defects in support of existing/new applications.\nComplete assigned training courses related to project specific work to be executed\nReview and analyze existing Kemper applications\nDocument and understand communication plan and development for Orca, Eapig, and Angular applications\nAbsorb Kemper development and design best practices as it relates to overall project goals.\nCode as defined by Kemper’s approval\nReview Python, Typescript, JavaScript, Java, and Angular code\nReview and understand Kemper’s CI/CD pipeline for AWS Cloud native services\nWork with Technical Lead on templates of proposed changes\nImplement changes with leadership sign-off\nWork with leadership to execute Proof of Concepts\nDiscover and review AWS Best Practices\nDiscover and review Angular Best Practices\nDiscover and review Orca\nDiscover and perform performance engineering and monitoring\nQualifications:\nStrong knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture\n1+ years (or equivalent knowledge) of development experience with a focus on JavaScript (Node.js), Java, or Python work.\nPython experience\nExperience with technologies such as AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, and Angular\nA strong understanding of the way the web works\nAble to accept constructive feedback\nDesire to provide assistance to other team members\nThe ideal candidate seeks to understand before prescribing a solution.\nLove of technology and the latest and greatest in development best practices, especially the latest services from AWS\nWillingness to stand up for your convictions and yet commit to the team’s decision\nFamiliarity with the Serverless Framework (serverless.com)\nFunctional understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.\nThis role works at the Kemper office in Jacksonville, Florida\nKemper is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
