The role supports the safe and reliable operation of public address and general alarm (PAGA) and electronic access control systems through preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, and testing, working with the site telecom maintenance team.\nSkills and Responsibilities:\nResponsibilities:\nMaintain, inspect and troubleshoot PAGA equipment, including speakers, amplifiers, microphones, control panels and associated cabling.\nMaintain and troubleshoot access control equipment, including card readers, controllers, door interfaces, associated power supplies and cabling.\nPerform scheduled preventive maintenance and functional testing; diagnose faults and complete corrective work within the authorized scope.\nCoordinate alarm and access control testing with operations and site security to manage service interruptions and maintain site protection.\nSupport installations, equipment replacements and approved system changes; verify proper operation and document completed work.\nRecord work orders, test results, equipment defects and maintenance history; maintain accurate technical records and identify spare-parts requirements.\nWork safely with 12V, 24V and 48V DC power systems and follow applicable electrical safety procedures.\nFabricate, mount and secure hardware for field installations.\nInterpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and standard operating procedures.\nPerform basic IP network configuration and troubleshooting for connected devices.\nAssist other disciplines on-site as required.\nAbility to work at heights using aerial work platforms (AWPs); valid Fall Protection certification is required.\nFollow site permit, isolation and safe-work procedures; promptly report hazards and faults affecting emergency communications or site access.\nPrevious experience working with Genetec security systems is considered an asset.\nIn addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.\nYour knowledge/skills, education, and experience:\nKnowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:\nRelevant technical diploma, trade qualification, or equivalent practical experience in telecommunications, electronics, or a related discipline\nExperience maintaining and troubleshooting PAGA and electronic access control systems in an industrial environment\nAbility to read technical drawings and schematics, use diagnostic test equipment, and work with low-voltage cabling, power supplies and network-connected devices.\nFamiliarity with maintenance work-order processes and technical documentation.\nCommunication:\nCommunicate clearly with the site telecom maintenance team, operations, security, and vendors.
