The successful candidate will support the design and analysis of smaller projects or components of larger structures, working closely with senior engineers to ensure designs meet project specifications and safety standards. This role offers hands-on experience and professional development through collaboration with experienced colleagues and participation in the Kent Graduate Development Program.\nSkills and Responsibilities:\nResponsibilities:\nWork as part of the Civil/Structural engineering team, assisting other engineers and completing assigned engineering tasks under close supervision.\nSupport the design and analysis of smaller projects or components of larger structures.\nUndertake specific tasks and areas of work assigned by the lead, principal, or senior engineer.\nExecute allocated tasks in accordance with the project execution plan and TDR requirements.\nPerform work in accordance with the Civil/Structural Design Manual.\nEnsure assigned work complies with client specifications, Kent’s ISO-accredited Quality Management System, and project-specific procedures, guides, and standards.\nProvide input to engineering deliverables and support technical decision-making by other engineers.\nCollaborate with senior engineers to ensure designs meet applicable specifications and safety standards.\nComplete the Kent Graduate Development Program.\nMaintain a corporate reporting line to the Civil/Structural Group Manager.\nDemonstrate safe, ethical, innovative, responsive, quality-focused, and cost-conscious working practices, with a commitment to delivering results.\nPerform related duties as instructed by the lead, principal, or senior engineer, or the Group Manager.\nIn addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.\nYour knowledge/skills, education, and experience:\nKnowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:\nA Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.\nAwareness of applicable Canadian, international, and industry codes, standards, and specifications.\nKnowledge of safety and quality procedures and best practices.\nStrong attention to detail.\nWillingness and ability to learn and develop technical knowledge.\nAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team.\nAbility to develop time-management skills and work towards meeting project deadlines.\nCommunication:\nExcellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication.\nAbility to communicate clearly with colleagues, ask questions, and seek guidance when required.\nAbility to share task progress and raise technical questions or concerns with supervising engineers.\nBehavior/ Core Competencies:\nEmbrace problems as opportunities to learn, develop, and grow.\nDevote time and effort to acquiring and maintaining relevant skills and knowledge.\nLearn from experienced colleagues and apply feedback to improve performance.\nReview and work towards the competency requirements for the Civil/Structural discipline.\nDemonstrate teamwork, accountability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe, high-quality work.\nAlign decisions and actions with Kent’s values and maintain an ethical, responsive, and delivery-focused approach.\nHSSEQ:\nThe Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company;
