The role involves 3D modelling, preparation of layouts and installation drawings, clash detection, and ensuring compliance with project standards, client requirements, and quality parameters. The position also supports design team coordination to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.\nDetails / responsibilities\nInstrumentation Design & Modelling\nDevelop 3D models of instrumentation components including offline instruments, junction boxes (JB), air manifolds, local control panels, and associated accessories.\nPerform 3D model clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve clashes effectively.\nExecute Junction Box (JB) grouping and optimize instrument cabling arrangements.\nPrepare Instrumentation Location Plans in accordance with project specifications.\nDevelop Fire & Gas Detection Layouts for process areas and facilities.\nPrepare Cable Routing Layouts and Cable Tray Routing Drawings.\nProduce Instrument Hook-up and Installation Drawings for field installation.\nSupport preparation of as-built drawings and project documentation.\nCoordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, piping, and civil disciplines to ensure integrated design execution.\nReview and guide junior designers in preparing instrumentation drawings and models.\nEnsure deliverables comply with project standards, international codes, and client specifications.\nManage preparation of engineering drawings, layouts, and diagrams within project timelines defined in the Detailed Work Program.\nEnsure deliverables meet quality, safety, and compliance requirements.\nParticipate in design reviews, model reviews, and client discussions when required.\nDesign Coordination\nCoordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, piping, and civil disciplines to ensure integrated design execution.\nReview and guide junior designers in preparing instrumentation drawings and models.\nEnsure deliverables comply with project standards, international codes, and client specifications.\nManage preparation of engineering drawings, layouts, and diagrams within project timelines defined in the Detailed Work Program.\nEnsure deliverables meet quality, safety, and compliance requirements.\nParticipate in design reviews, model reviews, and client discussions when required.\nProject Delivery\nManage preparation of engineering drawings, layouts, and diagrams within project timelines defined in the Detailed Work Program.\nEnsure deliverables meet quality, safety, and compliance requirements.\nParticipate in design reviews, model reviews, and client discussions when required.\nKnowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:\nDiploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.\nTypically 10-15 years of experience in instrumentation design within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or EPC projects.\nExperience with 3D modelling tools such as SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), E3D, or similar platforms.\nStrong knowledge of instrumentation layouts, cable routing, tray design, and hook-up drawings.\nFamiliarity with international standards and project engineering practices.\nAbility to coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nCommunication:\nExcellent oral and written communication and skills.\nWorking as per the Quality and Safety requirement & Standards.\nCultural sensitivity and ability to work in a global, multicultural environment.\nFlexibility in working hours to accommodate different time zone\nThe Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company; it’s clients and the governing authorities of the host country. \nEmployee is responsible for adhering to all health and safety procedures, reporting hazards or incidents promptly, and actively participating in maintaining a safe workplace.\nEnsure mandatory safety training are completed.\nHSSEQ:\nThe Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company; it’s clients and the governing authorities of the host country. \nEmployee is responsible for adhering to all health and safety procedures, reporting hazards or incidents promptly, and actively participating in maintaining a safe workplace.\nEnsure mandatory safety training are completed.\nBehavioural Competency\nAt Kent, you will handle various atypical tasks with reference to our defined processes and procedures.
