We operate exclusively in data centre and critical environments, acting as lead consultants, technical advisors, and commissioning partners while supporting clients from feasibility through design, delivery, and operational handover.\nWe're looking for Lead Electrical Commissioning Technicians to support our project in Florida and Ohio.\nWorking with the site commissioning lead, this role ensures successful delivery of Kent Data Centres critical facilities professional services around project management, site QA and testing and commissioning.\nSkills and Responsibilities:\nReview incoming contract documentation and the production/development of a planned methodology and a clear strategy (program/commissioning plan) to commission and test the awarded project.\nConduct “commission-ability reviews” of the system being installed and to advise the Specialist Services Manager, Design Manager(s) and Project Manager(s) on any foreseeable issues with scope and design strategy allowing incorporation into the final design.\nAssist with the preparation of enquiries/designs within the bid time, offering guidance on required commissioning requirements as required.\nAttendance and witnessing on behalf of the company at Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), ensuring FAT tests are conducted and validated in compliance with the ERs and the requirements of the site and recording findings and escalating acceptance decisions to the designated approval authority of such testing alongside the Design Manager.\nOrganization of the commissioning and testing to suit the project program.\nManagement of the commissioning being undertaken upon the site, and day-to-day organization, liaison with the respective supply and sub-contract chain.\nReview, develop, create and conduct the necessary commissioning documentation, including Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Integrated System Testing (IST) scripts in line with the project’s requirements to deliver a fully integrated and operational project to the end-user. Field responsibilities include test execution, punch-list closeout, evidence capture and safe systems handover.\nReview, approve and where necessary create method statements and risk assessments in conjunction with the project’s varying needs and requirements to fully commission and test the installation.\nApply relevant project procedures and safety standards; familiarity with data centre standards (BSRIA, ASHRAE, CIBSE and Uptime Institute concepts) can be developed through role-specific training.\nCommunicate methodology and strategy to Senior Management and Directors, including clients and sub-contractors.\nAssist with or lead Lessons Learnt and provide continuous improvement to the database.\nLiaise with Project Managers, Technical Account Managers and Technical Designers to ensure project delivery in line with client requirements.\nEnsure all roles and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with business procedures and as per client requirements to his satisfaction level.\nFollow all company standards and international practices with regards to commissioning practices & procedures etc.\nRepresent the Company in meetings as required.\nAttend internal project meetings.\nPrepare reports for customers directly.\nSupport field mentoring and knowledge sharing with other commissioning personnel.\nKeep regular contact with customers.\nFollow up with the information required from site contractors.\nStudy MEP documents and understand client requirements to be able to deliver and manage the project.\nEvaluate client enquiries, specifications and drawings.\nFormulate technical response with assistance and guidance from other departments as required.\nPrepare and participate in the review of and submit technical responses to the highest standards of accuracy, presentation, and punctuality in accordance with company standards and client requirements.\nPrepare and participate in the review of and in the submission of technical clarifications and revised shop drawings as required through the project.\nMaintain a full and accurate record during the project.\nAttend client, supplier and third-party meetings on and offsite as necessary.\nReport and communicate activities effectively and appropriately.\nConduct site surveys to put together the reports.\nLiaise with all sub-contractors and ensure that all drawings are issued with all required information.\nFollow on-site project management/testing, prepare reports, present findings and provide a road map for change.\nCoordinate with site commissioning leadership and other disciplines to resolve field issues.\nWork closely with other areas of the business and key staff to overcome complex client requirement.\nYour experience:\nQualification/ Training/ Certification & Education:\nElectrical engineer degree or similar\n5+ years of infrastructure (Power) experience\nExcellent work ethic and proactive individual\nUnderstanding/knowledge of electrical & mechanical equipment’s and technical risk Relevant Oil & Gas experience with switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, protection, isolation and energisation is particularly welcome.\nCapable of working under own initiative and as part of a team\nGood communicator, both in writing, on the telephone and face to face with customers\nGood numeracy skills\nCompetent in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel\nAble to prioritize tasks and manage time, to meet tight project deadlines\nGood technical and proposals and submittals management\nGood technical reviewability\nEnsure smooth management of the projects and commissioning\nAbility to carry out site surveys and understand detailed schematic designs\nWorking knowledge of Uptime Tiers & TIA 942-B - ATD is not essential\nWillingness to travel in the region\nMust have a driving license\nLast 2x employer reference\nDetails about the role:\nExperienced Oil & Gas, LNG, petrochemical and power generation commissioning professionals are encouraged to apply;
