{"id":3546915,"url":"https://alion.io/job/kent-lead-process-commissioning-technician","title":"Lead Process Commissioning Technician","company":{"id":1837632,"name":"Kent","domain":"kentplc.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/kentplc","size_band":"201-500","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Oracle","truth_index":{"grade":"B","score":78,"open_postings":23,"ghost_share":0,"stale_share":0.87,"repost_share":0,"time_to_fill_p50_days":28,"computed_at":"2026-11-03T05:54:40Z"}},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":"lead","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Port Arthur, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":51000,"max_usd":103000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":1137},"experience_years_min":10,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-30T18:55:54Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-30","last_verified_at":"2026-11-03T04:09:34Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":3,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":3},"description":"About the job:\nKent is looking for a Lead Process Commissioning Technicians to be based in Port Arthur, TX and support the GPX Greenfield project.\nLead and coordinate process and piping completion, commissioning, and start-up activities within the Commissioning Tiger Team, ensuring systems are mechanically complete, tested, safe, and ready for operation in accordance with project requirements and commissioning schedules.\n\nSkills and Responsibilities: \n\nResponsibilities:\nLead and Coordinate process and piping completion, commissioning, and start-up activities. \nReport to the Process/Mechanical Commissioning Lead Technician and support the planning and execution of commissioning activities. \nPerform process and mechanical commissioning activities in accordance with approved procedures and project specifications. \nConduct equipment inspections, Mechanical Completion (MC) walkdowns, and develop punch lists. \nExecute Boundary Condition Sheets (BCS), commissioning check sheets, and Inspection Test Records (ITRs). \nSupport piping flushing, cleaning, leak testing, process isolations, and other commissioning activities. \nVerify the readiness of process equipment, including vessels, piping, valves, pumps, and pressure relief devices. \nSupport vendor activities, functional testing, and system energization. \nPrepare and maintain commissioning documentation, redlines, turnover packages, and daily reports. \nCoordinate commissioning activities with Construction, Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams. \nComply with all HSSE requirements, Permit to Work (PTW), and project safe work practices. \nIdentify and report commissioning issues, deficiencies, and punch list items to the Commissioning Lead. \nComplete assigned work safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project quality standards. \nIn addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.\n\nYour knowledge/skills, education, and experience: \n\nKnowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: \nMinimum 10 plus years of commissioning experience with process, piping and mechanical systems, demonstrating a strong understanding of commissioning processes and execution.\nKnowledge and practical experience with Control of Work (COW) and Permit to Work (PTW) processes.\nExperience completing pre-commissioning documentation, including System Handover Management Process check sheets and turnover records.\nAbility to interpret P&IDs, equipment datasheets, commissioning procedures, and technical documentation.\nStrong understanding of safe commissioning practices, equipment testing, and system readiness verification.\n\nCommunication:\nFull fluency in English is required.\n\nBehavior/ Core Competencies:\nMust be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. \nHSSEQ:\nThe Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company;
