The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in industrial telecommunications systems, proven PE experience in Texas, and the ability to interface effectively with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nYou are responsible for leading engineering activities and the development of technical deliverables to meet the schedule, scope, budget and quality requirements of multi-discipline projects.\n\nSkills and Responsibilities: \n\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and review telecom system design packages, including data, voice, fiber optic, wireless, PAGA and security systems\nWork as Telecom Lead Engineer on FEED, Detailed Engineering, and execution phases for brownfield and greenfield projects\nPerform system integration reviews and technical evaluations\nProvide troubleshooting support for telecom network and communication system issues\nConduct field verifications, constructability reviews, and final walkdowns\nPrepare and review telecom system specifications, datasheets, and scope of work documents\nDevelop network architecture diagrams, block diagrams, cable routing drawings, fiber allocation and wiring termination diagrams\nEnsure documentation aligns with client standards and regulatory requirements\nSupport telecom design calculations, including bandwidth, network load, and redundancy planning\nInterface with vendors and sub-contractors for technical clarifications and equipment evaluations\nReview vendor documentation, technical submittals, FAT/SAT documentation, and test results\nSupport procurement activities, including bid evaluations and technical recommendations\nIdentify system vulnerabilities and propose redundancy or resilience improvements\nSupport network upgrades, fiber expansions, and modernization initiatives\nAssist in cybersecurity coordination and telecom system hardening strategies\nMaintain telecom engineering documentation and technical logs\nContribute to weekly engineering progress reports and technical coordination meetings\nInterface closely with client’s telecom, IT, Automation and operations departments\nCollaborate with electrical, instrumentation, automation, and mechanical engineering teams\nProvide technical input during project reviews and client presentations\nAll other duties as assigned.\nIn addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.\n\nYour knowledge/skills, education, and experience: \n\nKnowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: \nBachelor’s degree in Engineering required.\nFifteen (15) years or more of relevant telecoms experience in industrial or energy sector environments.\nP.E. license (preferable in the State of Texas) is required or able to obtain by comity and NCEES license required.\nExperience with fiber optic systems, structured cabling, LAN/WAN networks, wireless systems, and industrial communication protocols\nFamiliarity with industrial telecom systems, including CCTV, access control, PA/GA, radio systems, and network infrastructure\nStrong understanding of CSA codes, USA regulatory requirements, and industry standards\nFEED and brownfield/greenfield project experience required\nAbility to apply computer software tools (Microsoft Office 365 suite including Teams)\n\nCommunication:\nExcellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal/rapport building skills necessary to work effectively as a team member, and to plan/coordinate processes for results\nAbility to clearly convey technical information to multidisciplinary teams and clients\nStrong client-facing presence\n\nBehavior/ Core Competencies:\nAnalytical and structured approach to telecom system design and troubleshooting\nStrong vendor and contractor coordination skills\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team\nOrganized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven\nHSSEQ:\nThe Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company;
