You will be equally comfortable leading a short-duration consultancy study as you are managing a complex, multidisciplinary engineering project worth several million pounds.\nYou will have experience working within engineering consultancy environments, delivering projects under both reimbursable and lump-sum commercial models while successfully coordinating multiple technical, commercial and client interfaces. You understand how to balance scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk to achieve successful project outcomes.\nThe ideal candidate will be a confident communicator and relationship builder, capable of bringing together diverse engineering disciplines and stakeholders to solve complex challenges. You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and providing clear leadership to project teams.\nMost importantly, you will be adaptable, collaborative and solutions-focused, with a passion for delivering high-quality engineering and consultancy services. You will take ownership of project performance, foster strong client relationships and play an active role in supporting the continued growth and success of the business.\nTypical Projects may include:\nFeasibility studies and option assessments.\nConcept and front-end engineering studies (FEED).\nBrownfield and greenfield engineering projects.\nMulti-discipline design and engineering delivery.\nAsset improvement and decarbonisation programmes.\nCapital projects ranging from small consultancy assignments to projects valued at several million pounds.\nFramework and long-term client support contracts.\nSkills & Responsibilities:\nLead the successful delivery of multidisciplinary engineering and consultancy projects from initiation through to close-out.\nSupport with a diverse portfolio of work, ranging from short-duration consultancy studies and advisory assignments through to larger design projects.\nEnsure projects are delivered safely, to the required quality standards, on schedule and within budget.\nLead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, integrating inputs across disciplines to achieve project objectives.\nManage projects delivered under both reimbursable and lumpsum/fixed-price contracting models.\nDevelop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, risk registers and change management processes.\nMonitor project performance against scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk objectives, implementing corrective actions where necessary.\nCoordinate and manage multiple project interfaces, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, partners and internal stakeholders.\nFacilitate effective communication between technical disciplines, project controls, commercial teams and client\nrepresentatives.\nManage project commercial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, invoicing, variation management and financial reporting.\nDevelop resource plans and coordinate discipline inputs to ensure projects are appropriately staffed throughout the project lifecycle.\nIdentify, assess and manage project risks, opportunities, assumptions and dependencies.\nAct as a primary point of contact for clients, developing trusted relationships and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.\nLead project reviews, lessons learned activities and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery performance.\nSupport proposal preparation, estimating, project execution planning and bid activities for new business opportunities.\nProvide leadership, guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and project professionals as appropriate.\nPromote a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, innovation and delivery excellence across all project activities.\nEnsure compliance with company management systems, client requirements and applicable industry standards.\nIn addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.\nYour knowledge/skills, education, and experience:\nDegree qualified in a related technical discipline.\nProfessional project management qualification such as APM PMQ, APMP, PMP or equivalent preferred.\nDemonstrable experience delivering multidisciplinary engineering, consultancy or design projects within an engineering consultancy, operator, contractor or similar environment.\nProven experience delivering projects under both reimbursable and lumpsum/fixed-price commercial arrangements.\nExperience managing engineering studies, feasibility assessments, concept development, FEED and detailed design projects.\nPreferred experience leading technical and commercial bid submissions.\nPreferred experience supporting business development and client account management activities.\nCommunication:\nExcellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.\nBehaviour/ Core Competencies:\nExperience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating delivery across multiple interfaces and stakeholders.\nAbility to manage projects ranging from small consultancy assignments through to complex multi-million-pound\nengineering projects.\nExcellent client-facing skills with experience building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.\nExcellent communication, leadership and facilitation skills.\nGood commercial awareness and ability to balance technical, contractual and financial considerations.\nDemonstrated ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and manage multiple concurrent priorities.\nGood organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProactive approach with the ability to work independently and drive successful project outcomes.\nHSSEQ:\nThe Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company; it’s clients and the governing authorities of the host country.\nWe are committed to our diverse and inclusive community - a place where we can all be ourselves, thrive and develop.
