You are responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing integrated Engineering and Procurement schedules for EP projects.\nYou will work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, Project Management, suppliers, and vendors to establish realistic execution plans and ensure engineering deliverables, procurement activities, equipment, and materials are delivered in accordance with project requirements.\nYou will provide schedule visibility from the start of engineering through procurement and equipment/material delivery, identifying critical activities, potential delays, constraints, and opportunities for recovery. You will play a key role in ensuring that engineering and procurement activities are properly sequenced and aligned with project milestones and client requirements.\n\nSkills and Responsibilities: \n\nResponsibilities:\nEngineering Planning\nDevelop and maintain detailed Engineering schedules in coordination with Engineering discipline leads and project management.\nEstablish engineering activities, logic, durations, milestones, and deliverables required to support project execution.\nDevelop schedules covering engineering studies, design development, calculations, specifications, drawings, reviews, approvals, and IFC deliverables.\nEstablish engineering deliverable dates based on project milestones and procurement requirements.\nMonitor engineering progress against the approved baseline schedule.\nTrack engineering deliverables and identify potential delays, constraints, and impacts to downstream activities.\nCoordinate engineering review cycles, client comments, approvals, and final document issuance.\nIncorporate engineering changes and revisions into the project schedule and assess their schedule impacts.\nCoordinate engineering activities associated with equipment and material procurement, including specifications, requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document requirements.\nWork with Engineering to identify critical deliverables required to support long-lead procurement activities.\nProcurement Planning\nDevelop and maintain detailed procurement schedules from procurement planning through purchase order placement and delivery.\nEstablish procurement milestones for requisitions, RFQs, bid evaluations, purchase orders, vendor documentation, manufacturing, inspection, testing, shipment, and delivery.\nCoordinate procurement schedules with Engineering to establish realistic requisition and purchase order dates.\nIdentify and maintain schedules for long-lead equipment and critical materials.\nMonitor procurement progress and vendor performance against planned milestones.\nTrack purchase orders from placement through manufacturing and final delivery.\nCoordinate with Procurement and Expediting personnel to identify potential delays and develop mitigation strategies.\nIncorporate vendor manufacturing schedules and milestones into the project schedule.\nTrack vendor document submittals, reviews, approvals, and final documentation.\nMonitor equipment and material delivery dates against project requirements.\nIdentify procurement activities that represent potential threats to project milestones.\nIntegrated Engineering & Procurement Planning\nIntegrate Engineering and Procurement activities into a single, logically linked project schedule.\nEstablish relationships between engineering deliverables, procurement requisitions, technical evaluations, purchase orders, vendor documentation, manufacturing, and delivery.\nIdentify the critical path through Engineering and Procurement.\nEnsure procurement schedules reflect engineering requirements and engineering schedules reflect procurement needs.\nIdentify interfaces and handoffs between Engineering, Procurement, Expediting, Document Control, and Project Management.\nDevelop and maintain key project milestone dates and execution sequences.\nProvide forward-looking schedule analysis to identify potential issues before they impact project milestones.\nSchedule Management\nDevelop and maintain Level 3/4 Engineering and Procurement schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software.\nMaintain schedule logic, relationships, constraints, calendars, milestones, and coding structures.\nEstablish and maintain the approved schedule baseline.\nPerform regular schedule updates based on actual progress and forecast information.\nAnalyze critical path, near-critical activities, float, trends, and forecast completion dates.\nDevelop weekly and monthly look-ahead schedules.\nIdentify schedule variances and work with responsible organizations to establish corrective actions.\nDevelop recovery schedules and mitigation plans when required.\nEvaluate schedule impacts associated with changes, delays, late engineering deliverables, procurement issues, and vendor performance.\nSupport preparation of project schedule forecasts and completion projections.\nVendor & Supplier Schedule Management\nReview and incorporate supplier/vendor schedules into the overall project schedule.\nMonitor vendor milestone commitments and identify deviations from approved schedules.\nTrack key vendor activities including engineering, document submission, approval, procurement of raw materials, fabrication, inspection, testing, and shipment.\nCoordinate with Procurement and Expediting to validate vendor progress and forecast delivery dates.\nIdentify potential vendor delays and support development of recovery plans.\nMaintain visibility of critical vendor deliverables and equipment/material delivery dates.\nParticipate in vendor schedule review meetings when required.\nProgress Measurement & Reporting\nCollect and validate progress information from Engineering, Procurement, Expediting, suppliers, and vendors.\nUpdate project schedules in accordance with the established reporting cycle.\nProvide accurate schedule status and forecast information to Project Management and Project Controls.\nDevelop engineering and procurement progress reports, dashboards, and trend information.\nMonitor planned versus actual progress and identify emerging schedule issues.\nProvide schedule information supporting project performance reporting and earned value management where applicable.\nSupport monthly project reviews and schedule presentations.\nChange & Risk Management\nEvaluate the schedule impacts of engineering changes, procurement changes, scope changes, and vendor delays.\nSupport project change management by providing schedule impact assessments.\nIdentify engineering and procurement schedule risks and constraints.\nParticipate in project risk assessments and schedule risk analysis.\nDevelop mitigation strategies for identified schedule risks.\nMaintain visibility of schedule contingency and float on critical Engineering and Procurement activities.\nIn addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization.
