The successful candidate will provide senior-level piping design expertise and produce safe, accurate, constructible deliverables in collaboration with engineering and project teams. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible employee position anticipated at 40 hours per week.\nSkills and Responsibilities:\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and revise piping layouts, plot plans, equipment arrangements, isometrics, and related design deliverables.\nPrepare and maintain 3D piping models and 2D drawings in accordance with project specifications, client standards, applicable codes, and Kent procedures.\nInterpret P&IDs, line lists, equipment data, vendor drawings, specifications, and engineering information to produce coordinated designs.\nApply piping design principles related to routing, accessibility, operability, maintainability, safety, flexibility, and constructability.\nPerform field verification, site measurements, walkdowns, and model reviews, as required.\nCoordinate piping design interfaces with process, mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, instrumentation, stress, and construction teams.\nIdentify design conflicts and technical issues, recommend practical solutions, and communicate impacts to the appropriate discipline lead.\nParticipate in interdisciplinary reviews, model reviews, constructability reviews, and design assurance activities.\nCheck drawings and design deliverables for quality, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.\nProvide guidance and technical support to intermediate and junior designers, as required.\nSupport estimating, planning, progress measurement, and schedule commitments for assigned work.\nMaintain organized design records and incorporate approved changes throughout the project lifecycle.\nIn addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.\nYour knowledge/skills, education, and experience:\nKnowledge/Qualification/Training/Certification:\nDiploma or certificate in engineering design and drafting, mechanical technology, or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.\nTypically, 20 or more years of progressive piping design experience, preferably in industrial, energy, petrochemical, refining, or related facilities.\nExperience working within a global workshare environment is preferred. The successful candidate must be willing and able to collaborate closely with Kent global teams, including coordinating design activities, communicating technical requirements, supporting effective work handoffs, and participating in meetings across time zones as reasonably required.\nStrong working knowledge of piping design practices, applicable codes and standards, and the preparation of piping drawings and deliverables.\nProficiency with relevant 3D plant design and drafting software; experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D, E3D, S3D or comparable systems is preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, piping specifications, vendor information, and engineering documentation.\nExperience with brownfield modifications, field verification, laser-scan information, and constructability considerations is an asset.\nStrong checking, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.\nCommunication:\nExcellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.\nCommunicates technical information clearly and professionally in written, verbal, drawing, and model-review formats.\nBuilds effective working relationships with engineering disciplines, project controls, construction, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.\nRaises design concerns promptly and contributes constructively to technical and schedule discussions.\nBehavior/Core Competencies:\nDemonstrates attention to detail, accountability, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to quality.\nPlans and prioritizes work to meet agreed deliverables and schedule requirements.\nSupports an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative working environment.\nAdapts effectively to changing priorities and project needs.\nHSSEQ:\nThe Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company;
