Designs include drawings, design details, specifications, bills of quantity and design calculations.\n\nSkills and Responsibilities: \n\nResponsibilities:\nManage the design processes involved in a piping project, including ensuring that drawings are ready on time, reviewing designs and making them available to the appropriate people.\nLiaise with client on design-related matters.\nEstablish and maintain effective methods of communication between the teams involved in design work throughout the project.\nMaintain records and documents throughout the project.\nAssess, mitigate and manage risks connected with design.\nEnsure designs and design work meet health and safety legislation, sustainable building standards (such as BREEAM the Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method) and industry codes of practice.\nAs-building in the field which may require climbing ladders or stairs.\nClosing MOC’s.\nMinimum 5+ years of piping design experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas, Petro Chemical, Refinery industry required. \nPreparation of all design related deliverables such as BOM, Panel and Cable schedule, 3D models and model extractions, layouts and interconnection wiring drawings etc.\nInput for drafting Area classification drawings and other layouts.\nFollow CAD standards.\nPreparation of calculations for Cable tray and trench sizing.\nDecide the substation layouts optimizing the size and design of the same along with the lead designer.\nPreparation of all layout drawings ,3D models and MTO generation.\nFinalize installation drawings for each specific project.\nParticipate in project design reviews as required.\nPerform inter discipline squad checks.\nAttend model reviews as per project schedule as required.\nSite surveys and adequacy checks if required.\nPerform technical audits and quality reviews.\nIn addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization.
