We are currently accepting applications for a full-time Computer Information Technology Instructor.\nJob Duties:\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nTeaching approximately 15 credit hours per semester\nTeaching assignments will be face-to-face and online.\nMaintaining weekly office hours on campus\nParticipating in college or system committees\nSupport academic program management and compliance with the college’s accreditation requirements.\nProvide student support, advising, and facilitate the student graduation application process.\nSupport CIT program outreach and promotion.\nMaintain a current understanding of the field.\nA successful ACTC faculty member will exhibit the following:\nWillingness to work with peers to support the mission of the college\nWilling to teach at times, locations, and modalities to meet the needs of our students, including high school dual credit and prison education program students\nPresent the current discipline knowledge to teach effectively\nDemonstrate respect for the varied learning needs of students and the ability to adapt teaching methods to address learning styles\nWillingness to participate in the college’s continuous improvement process.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMinimum qualifications include a master’s degree in computer science or a related field, and 18 graduate credit hours in the associated discipline are preferred. An applicant with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and four years of relevant work experience in the field may also be considered, provided the applicant is willing to pursue a master’s degree.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrefer a candidate with a minimum of two years of teaching experience with face-to-face and/or online modalities and experience with a learning management system (LMS) and other instructional technology. Experience with network security, cybersecurity, or Amazon Web Services (AWS) is preferred. A willingness to obtain AWS Practitioner and Architect certifications within one year is also preferred.\nAdditional Skills Requested:\nThis is a ten-month term contract position.
