For more information, click here.\nRole reports to:\nLaboratory Supervisor (Microbiology)Location:\nNorth America, Canada, Ontario, GuelphWork Location:\nFully OnsiteWhat you will do\nWe are excited to announce two temporary openings of 12 months within our team.\nThe Microbiologist I is responsible for performing environmental monitoring, lab assays, and biomarker identification using state-of-the-art techniques. You will assist with microbial testing, maintain accurate documentation, analyze data, and operate laboratory equipment to support development programs\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, execute, and interpret innovative microbiological and biological experiments to explore microbial behaviors, biological pathways, and interactions.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop novel microbial assays and support production and manufacturing processes of biochemical, chemical, biological, and immunological products.\nConduct environmental monitoring, laboratory assays, biomarker identification, and complex microbial testing including biological indicator, growth promotion, endotoxin, and bioburden assessments.\nUtilize and maintain cutting-edge laboratory techniques and equipment to isolate, characterize microorganisms, and ensure optimal instrument performance.\nPrepare and standardize reagents, controls, and standards following validated procedures while implementing and upholding quality control measures and quality programs.\nEnsure meticulous documentation, timely reporting, and compliance with established protocols and regulatory standards.\nAnalyze and interpret experimental data using current scientific literature to provide informed scientific insights and recommendations.\nContribute to the creation of detailed scientific and technical reports, manuscript development, and presentations to internal teams and external collaborators.\nManage multiple projects independently while effectively influencing team members and stakeholders.\nEngage in continuous learning to integrate emerging microbiological technologies and methodologies into daily research.\nWhat we are looking for\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree or equivalent in microbiology, biology, or a related scientific discipline.\nMinimum 2-5 years relevant experience in a Quality, or R&D environment in the pharmaceutical, food or water industries. \nStrong computer skills and ERP system knowledge\nExperience with Analytical Laboratory equipment and methods is an asset\nGood interpersonal and collaboration skills\nEnjoys working to multiple deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment\nDemonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload\nGood technical writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.\nDesired Qualifications\nKnowledge of Process Excellence/Lean an asset.\nBasic understanding of statistical analysis and experience with statistical software.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAnnual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$53,000.00 - $86,135.00This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.\nCompetitive Benefit Package*\n\nPaid Company Holidays, Paid Vacation, Volunteer Time & More!\n\nLearning & Development Opportunities\n\nKenvuer Impact Networks\n\nThis list could vary based on location/region\n\n*Note: Total Rewards at Kenvue include salary, bonus (if applicable) and benefits.
