Manage Third Party Administrators and Vendors\nSafety Management System\nLead the site implementation of the Safety Management System Plan, comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and tools to enhance compliance with corporate direction in efforts to reduce accidents/injuries in the workplace.\nMonitor compliance with the KTA’s SMS policies and procedures, conducting an annual safety audit.\nEnsure all relevant statutory and regulatory safety polices are applied and adhered to\nAssists maintenance manager in ensuring compliance with environmental policies and regulations.\nSafety Assurance\nMonitor and evaluate the continued effectiveness of risk control strategies\nIdentify and assess new hazards introduced in the workplace\nOversee ongoing monitoring and recording of safety performance\nEnsure that the Road Traffic Safety Management System (RTSMS) conforms to the requirements\nEnsure that the RTSMS processes are delivering their intended outputs\nReport to management on the performance of the RTSMS and on opportunities for improvement and on the need for change or innovation\nEnsure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization\nEnsure the integrity of the RTSMS is maintained, when any changes to RTSMS are planned and implemented \nSafety Promotion\nEstablish and maintain a culture of safety so that safety is the front of mind consideration for all employees and a way of life within the organization.\nContribute to the safety culture through displaying exemplary safety-oriented behaviors\nEnsure a just culture within the organization where all employees are treated fairly and justly and understand their contribution to the organization’s safety philosophy.\nOversees classroom and designated instructors to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency in training methods.\nOversees design and delivery of driver training and safety courses including new hire and accident retraining. \nPlan, schedule and deliver monthly safety meetings\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of the job.
