Responsible for the co-ordination of the department activities to produce safe, quality products to agreed quantities and deadlines in a clean and hygienic environment.\nRequirements\nDemonstrate and monitor compliance to Company’s PPE requirements, knife safety requirements, hygiene and quality standards, department SOP’s and customer specifications\nMaintain superior understanding and knowledge of customer specifications, yields and margins\nRoll out specification/task changes and/or new customer requirements to all Boning Hall Operatives ensuring full understanding and compliance\nFamiliar with daily production plan, working with team to set up line, completing relevant checks and ensuring materials are ready to use\nComplying with quality specifications and understanding yield values\nMinimising and reporting of waste appropriately\nCooperate and assist with Internal and External audits as required, implementing any corrective and preventative actions\nPromote and encourage staff to deliver a quality product on a consistent basis by leading by example\nStaff management for annual leave, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes, with support as required from management\nMonitoring and identifying team training requirements, providing coaching, mentoring or delegating further training as required\nWorking with management to identify and develop talent and high performers, including succession planning\nSkills/ Experience\nMeticulous attention to detail essential\nExtensive understanding of Company’s SOP’s and customer specifications\nPeople management and influencing skills essential\nPrevious experience working in a high-volume meat processing factory essential\nManual handling ability and awareness\nFluent English, ability to communicate well in written and oral form with multi-nationals on all levels essential\nFlexibility to meet daily production targets\nConsistent approach and strong work ethic\nAble to work under own initiative and as part of a team\nAdaptable to change and production demands\nProblem solving skills, lateral thinker\nComputer literate, particularly in Microsoft Office packages, such as Excel\nPassion for food\nBenefits\nPerformance Bonus- Opportunity to earn a bonus based on your performance and development.\nPay Grading system- offering the chance to increase your earnings as you advance in your role.\n 31 days annual leave per year (after probation).\nAnnual Holiday Purchase Scheme - Need a little more time off?
