This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabricator who enjoys a varied role involving fabrication, welding, maintenance support and continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.\nWorking Pattern: Tuesday - Saturday\nRole Purpose\nTo maintain continuous production and improve efficiencies safely through effectively implementing maintenance repairs and responding in a timely manner to breakdown repairs. Ensure continuous improvement methodologies are applied that improves the operational function.\nResponsibilities\nCarry out fabrication, welding, repair and maintenance work safely and efficiently.\nComplete metal cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping, forming and bending activities.\nManufacture and modify components to support production and engineering requirements.\nTo ensure all requested repairs & improvement projects are completed and reported back to your assigned supervisory engineer. \nTo assist the Engineering department in achieving its budget targets through the efficient use of materials and replacement parts.\nTo follow the correct accounting/authorisation process when ordering replacement parts. \nMaintain and improve standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of the factory including the Engineering Fabrication workshop & associated workshops / areas.\nEnsure all Hot Work Permits and Risk assessments are in place and closed off after work has been completed.\nEnsure steel stores / consumables are kept stocked and replenished as required.\nAssist with routine PPM when assigned (specific training will be provided) and take part in reactive work as part of the wider engineering team. \nTo be aware of and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.\nRequirements\n Commitment to Company Values; Passion for food, Ambition, Responsibility and Teamwork \n Passion for Food at forefront of day-to-day performance \n Ambition to develop self to achieve personal and business goals \n Responsibility for positive contribution to business \n Teamwork across all levels, departments and teams, willing to go the extra mile \n Welding / Cutting / Grinding / Forming / Shaping\n Workshop qualifications and Experience \n Time served apprenticeship \n Good trouble shooting and fault resolution experience \n Excellent communication and interpersonal skills \n Demonstrate team skills with a positive attitude and professional approach\n FMCG experience (desirable) \n Coded welding Qualifications (desirable) \n Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills essential \n Strong analytical and problem-solving skills \n Capable of making sound business suggestions \n Ability to work effectively and confidently under pressure \n Commitment to good practice and quality products \n Communicate well in written and oral form with multi-nationals on all levels \n Ability to multitask and work under own initiative to deliver to deadlines \n Relationship builder with influencing skills\n Benefits\n 31 days annual leave per year (after probation).\nAnnual Holiday Purchase Scheme - Need a little more time off?
