Junior Data Engineer

At Kepak Group, we're looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team in Blanchardstown, Dublin. As a Junior Data Engineer, you'll have the chance to work with industry-leading technologies including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Power BI, Python, and SQL, while helping transform data into valuable insights that improve business performance and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

As part of our Data Team, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Develop robust data models, star schemas, and master data solutions.
• Support the delivery of business intelligence and analytics solutions within our Microsoft Fabric environment.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and transform them into effective data solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions.
• Work with modern DevOps practices using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• Explore and pilot emerging technologies and innovative approaches to data engineering.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• 1-3 years of experience in a data-focused or software engineering role.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of Spark and/or Scala.
• Experience working with ETL tools such as Microsoft Fabric
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure technologies including Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, and Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
