This is a full time, permanent position working 3 days on/3 days off - 6.00am to 6.30pm.\nIf you have knowledge within Meat Trimming or if you are interested in learning new skills especially in Butchery and Meat cutting, please apply online.\nRole Description:\nTo support the Raw Materials Quality Assessor by identifying, correcting, and preventing raw material specification deviations through real-time trimming, inspection.\nThe role acts as a key operational link between quality and production, ensuring incoming materials meet specification requirements before entering the retail packing process.\nYou will be removing excess fat, gristle, sinew, blood clots, bruising and other defects from the meat before it enters the Retail team. The meat will then need to be weighed and visually checked it is all up to our customer specifications.\nBeing able to work with raw meat and within a cold environment is essential.\nRequirements\nResponsibilities:\nConduct detailed assessment of incoming raw materials alongside the Raw Materials Quality Assessor.\nRemove excess fat, gristle, cartilage, glands, bruising, bone fragments, blood clots, contamination, and other specification defects as required.\nIdentify specification deviations and immediately communicate findings to the Raw Materials Quality Assessor.\nSupport real-time Just-in-Time inspections prior to product entering production.\nAssist with enhanced inspections following supplier NCRs or recurring quality concerns.\nAssess incoming material against product specifications, visual standards, and customer requirements.\nEnsure all trimming activities are completed in a hygienic and controlled manner.\nAccurately record quantities of trim, waste, and non-compliant material to support cost recovery activities.\nMonitor raw material quality and identify emerging trends or deterioration in standards to the Raw Material Assessor.\nBenefits\n 22 days annual leave per year (after probation).\nAnnual Holiday Purchase Scheme - Need a little more time off?
