This is a full time, permanent position reporting to the Security Manager.\nThe hours are full time, working both days and nights, 7am/7pm to 7pm/7am - 12 hour shifts, 4 on/4 off.\nRole Purpose\nResponsible for site security, being the first point of contact for Staff and Visitors, ensuring Security checks and protocols are in place and adhered to effectively.\nRole Requirements\nBooking in/out Site visitors and vehicles\nBooking in cattle/sheep deliveries to site\nMonitoring fire and plant alarms, reacting accordingly in line with procedures\nCoordination of Site Evacuation Procedure\nMonitoring of Site CCTV systems\nAdministration of site and department specific documentation\nCheck and monitor site refrigeration systems\nUndertake Site patrols and inspections in accordance with management instructions\nAnswering and diverting calls and queries promptly and politely\nAny other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.\nRequirements\nAttributes, Skills and Experience Requirements\n Experience working in a Security role in an Industrial Environment preferred\n Knowledge and understanding of animal welfare preferred\n SIA Licence preferable, but not essential \n Flexible approach to working and committed to working night and day shifts and weekends, on a rotational basis\n Excellent customer service delivery\n Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests\n Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills essential\n Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\n Capable of making sound business suggestions\n Ability to work effectively and confidently under pressure\n Commitment to good practice and quality products\n Fluent English, Communicate well in written and oral form with multi-nationals on all levels\n Ability to multitask and work under own initiative to deliver to deadlines\n Relationship builder with influencing skill \n IT skills (particularly MS Office)\n Benefits\nSubsidised canteen serving multiple hot food options for breakfast and lunch\n31 days annual leave per year (after probation)\nEmployee Discount Platform -
