All documentation should be consistent with current client standards.\nSpecification and recording of the Technician Training certification program and supervision of drill and scenario training aids\nTravel overseas for work / assignment as and when necessary or requested by your immediate supervisor / the head of department.\nSuch other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor / the head of department from time to time.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\nQualified candidates will possess the following:\nQualified to Diploma/Degree Level in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years direct industry experience or a minimum of 5(Degree)/8(Diploma) years' experience at Electrical Technician level in a critical environment combined with supervisory/ management experience. Preference is given to data centre, hospital, pharmaceutical production or power plant experience.\nRegistered 33 kV Chargeman (Competent Person) certification; Valid authorisation/ licensing from relevant national authority for high-voltage switching and maintenance.\nAn excellent understanding and experience of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data centre environment, including: Feeders, Transformers, Switchgear, UPS systems, Battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU units, generators, DRUPS, etc.\nExperience of complex automatic control equipment, including relay logic, programmable logic controllers (PLC's), building management systems, and their integration with the data centre infrastructure.\nExperience of medium voltage distribution systems and associated switch gear and protection equipment.\nExperience of MV and LV switching procedures and safety protocols. Preferably a licensed electrical worker (LEW).\nExperience of working within a Project Environment and dealing with design and construction engineering professionals\nStrong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with the client and with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on the data centre systems.\nComputer literate with the ability to compile and submit monthly and annual reports, and to monitor and trend operational characteristics (load, capacity, environmental conditions etc).\nStrong and committed team player with excellent communication and coaching skills.
