The program dates May 24 to August 12, 2027.\nEngineering Overview\nThis position works from the North American Headquarters and carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.\nThe purpose of the role is to support Kerry in achieving reliable equipment and manufacturing systems to prevent failures, maximize operational performance and throughput, optimize cost, and extend asset lifecycles.\nKey Responsibilities\nWhat you'll do\nProvide support to manufacturing sites to develop, optimize and implementPreventative Maintenance (PM) programs\nComputer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP-PM)\nBest maintenance practices and standards\n\nSupport manufacturing sites in implementing and executing their Maintenance Excellence ProgramMaintenance Fundamentals\nReliability Centered Maintenance\nOperational Excellence\n\nCollaborate with sites to define Asset Criticality and Reliability Maintenance strategies\nUtilize and leverage Maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to optimize cost, identify gaps and identify opportunities to improve asset performance\nSupport analysis of equipment and systems failures, using problem solving and continuous improvement tools (i.e. RCA, Fishbone, DMAIC and FMECA)\nSupport Project teams during equipment selection and defining Preventative/Predictive Maintenance strategies for new assets and new acquisitions\nSupport other functions with Maintenance and Reliability related inquires and expertise\nDevelop as a Reliability engineer and a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Maintenance and Reliability subject areas\nSupports site capability building with assessment and evaluation of site maintenance staff, training and knowledge transfer to site maintenance teams\nActively live the Kerry values of Courage, Ownership, Inclusiveness, Open-mindedness, & Enterprising Spirit\nQualifications and Skills\nWhat you'll need to be successful\nPursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or equivalent with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 - May 2028 \nPreferred background in Food & Beverage/Chemicals/Pharma/Manufacturing\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)\nAbility to develop and deploy a disciplined approach to engineering and maintenance, with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong planning skills, and the ability to follow-up and successfully execute plans\nContinuous improvement mindset with high change agility\nExcellent interpersonal and communications skills, ability to influence, coach and develop colleagues not in a reporting relationship\nResults oriented and ability to deliver successful outcomes\nAbility to work independently across multiple sites and stakeholders, both internal and external\nComfortable working on the factory floor and as part of a decentralized regional team\nA curious mindset\nAt Kerry, we want our interns to focus on learning, growing, and making an impact. Eligible interns who relocate more than 50 miles for their internship will receive a $3,500 living allowance to help cover housing and other living expenses during the summer program.\nCompensation Data\nThe pay rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.
