Our products fill vital needs in a broad range of applications that are essential to everyday life including food preservation, antibiotic formulation, dialysis treatment, energy production and more.\n400 47th St., Niagara Falls, NY 14304\nKey responsibilities\nInstrumentation/Controls Engineer Role and Responsibility\nDevelopment of instrumentation testing protocols procedures. \nDevelopment of Preventive Maintenance programs and procedures. \nDevelopment of Resource Library for Electricians. \nEnsuring instrumentation operation complies with quality parameters. \nAssist with identifying and scheduling routine/planned maintenance. \nAssist with troubleshooting any issues or concerns. \nAssist Electricians with technical issues and concerns. \nEvaluate existing instrumentation and processes to improve system efficiency and reliability. \nAnalyze equipment failure data. \nConduct Root Cause analysis \nAssist with training production staff if required. \nWorking with Operations and Engineering to design and develop new control processes. \nProvide as needed Controls support to Operations and Engineering. \nAssist with Installation of new control processes. \nMay involve procurement and budgetary responsibility. \nProvide IT support for plant phones, Access control and Security Systems \nAssist Electricians with Installation, maintaining, testing, inspections, diagnose failures and calibration equipment to ensure it is in good working order.\nKnowledge of the following instrumentation and controls:\nPressure Transmitters \nCoriolis and Mag Flow Meters: \nRTD/Thermocouple and controllers \nActuated Control valves and Positioners \nLevel: Capacitance, Radar, Ultra sonic \nAllen Bradley PLC \nAllen Bradley Variable Frequency Drives \nYaskawa Variable Frequency Drives. \nServo Motors \nQualifications and skills\nSkill requirements for instrumentation/Controls engineer\nCommunication - need strong verbal communication skills to work within wider manufacturing team as well as written communication skills for activities such as report compilation and writing training documents. \nTeam working - instrumentation engineers are required to work closely with people across many different departments and at all levels. \nAttention to detail - even small deviations from expected system performance must be noted and acted upon \nProblem-solving skills - the role can require individuals to assess problems and come up with new and innovative solutions. \nOrganizational skills - must be able to prioritize tasks and perform duties to minimize manufacturing downtime and meet deadlines. \nCuriosity - genuine interest in keeping up with new technologies is advantageous. \nA continuous improvement mindset - identifying and implementing ways to continuously improve reliability. \nSafety-conscious - the ability to identify potential hazards and take the necessary steps to mitigate them. \nProject management - the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively including planning, scheduling, and organizing. \n Industrial Electrical Standards -Strong Understanding of Industrial Electrical Standards, practices and NEC code requirements \nThe pay range for this position is $88,000 -- $144,800 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
