Join us in creating a workplace where safety is everyone's responsibility.\nAbout the role\nAs our Coleraine site continues to grow, we are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our Engineering team in a newly created role. Coleraine is a well-established site specialising in sliced cheese production, and we have recently expanded our operations with the addition of sauces and syrups production.\nReporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of 8 people and take responsibility for day-to-day maintenance activities across the site. Your focus will be on maximising equipment availability, reducing downtime, improving preventative maintenance and ensuring high standards of safety and compliance. You will also support equipment installations, engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives as the site continues to develop.\nIt is a permanent contract, full time from Monday to Friday (day shift).\nKey responsibilities\nLead and develop a team of 8 engineers, providing clear direction, coaching and support to build a high-performing maintenance team.\nManage day-to-day maintenance activities, balancing planned and urgent work to minimise downtime and support production priorities.\nDeliver the preventative maintenance and asset care programme, ensuring work is completed effectively and on schedule.\nImprove equipment reliability, identifying recurring issues, implementing corrective actions and reducing emergency repair work.\nProvide technical support and direction for equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting and maintenance activities.\nEnsure high standards of Health & Safety and compliance across all engineering and maintenance activities.\nWork closely with Production and other site teams to understand priorities, resolve issues and continuously improve operational performance.\nSupport site projects and expansion activities, including equipment installation, upgrades and overhauls.\nManage contractors, spare parts and the maintenance budget, ensuring resources and expenditure are managed effectively.\nMonitor key maintenance KPIs and maintain accurate technical documentation, maintenance records and equipment information.\nQualifications and skills\nRelevant electrical or mechanica qualification, diploma or degree\nAt least 5 years’ experience in a similar maintenance/engineering role within manufacturing\nA previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nA practical, hands-on approach with strong people leadership skills\nAbility to build effective relationships across Production, Engineering and other functions\nFluent English\nGood Microsoft Office and SAP skills.\nWhat we offer?\nJoining us means becoming part of an established site that is continuing to grow and invest in new production capabilities.
