A career with Kerry offers you an opportunity to shape the future of food while providing you opportunities to explore and grow in a truly global environment.\nAbout the role\nSeeking aManufacturing Process Engineer to be located on site daily at our Harrisonburg, VA site.\nKey responsibilities\nResponsible for Process Optimisation (OEE Improvement, Yield Improvement, NPI)\nSupport Operator capability building, through process cross functional SOP creation, training and knowledge sharing.\nUtilise process SME knowledge to own and support 1-KPS Problem Solving of critical site concerns.\nSupport plant maintenance manager with special tasks and actions\nThis position develops cooperative working relationships with cross-functional teams within the manufacturing plants\nCreates Project Plans and harnesses resources to ensure project milestones are met within expectations of timeline, quality and budget\nOptimizes the operation of manufacturing processes by finding the optimum Production and machine settings with an underlying goal of quality and cost\nParticipates in the analysis of quality problems in research and applicable solutions, handles relations with the maintenance and production departments for optimization purposes and ensure follow-up to solutions\nWorks with the R&D teams for new product requests coming from customers\nOrganizes and tracks upscale production trials and defines the parameters of production for new products in collaboration with the R&D team and the site team (safety, quality, production, supply chain and maintenance)\nDetermines material and equipment to be used for the specific projects at hand\nStudies product design, customer requirements, and determines performance standards\nAbility to troubleshoot product manufacturing issues that are experienced on the production line and offer short and long term solutions with maintenance and production team\nSupports manufacturing issues, and troubleshooting as assigned\nQualifications and skills\nBachelor’s Degree (B.S) in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Food Processing)\nLean Six Sigma qualification preferred\n5 plus years of progressive experience work in plant maintenance, manufacturing engineering or process engineering.\n1 - 2 years prior food manufacturing or alternative heavily regulated environment (e.g. Pharma manufacturing, automotive etc.).\nPreferred experience with Food manufacturing unit operations: Solid-Liq Extraction, Evaporation, Centrifuge Separation, Pasteurization\nExperience in managing and executing capital projects $50k - $500k\nSelf-motivated, hands-on individual with keen interest in quickly learning and applying new skills who can follow written/verbal instructions and meet deadlines with minimal supervision\nThe typical hiring range for this role is $75,602 to $110,000 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).\nKerry is an equal opportunity employer.
