About the role
The Project Lead is a business leader accountable for converting Kerry’s strategic priorities into executable plans and measurable results. The role leads complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation and value realization, providing the direction, governance and leadership required to deliver sustainable business outcomes.
Working across functions, sites and leadership teams, the Project Lead creates alignment, drives accountability, removes barriers and ensures risks, decisions and dependencies are actively managed. This is a delivery leadership position with responsibility for business outcomes, stakeholder confidence and organizational change.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead Strategic Project Delivery
- Own assigned initiatives from definition through implementation, stabilization and closure.
- Translate business priorities into clear scope, outcomes, success measures, governance and integrated delivery plans.
- Balance scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and resource constraints while protecting the intended business outcome.
- Maintain momentum through timely decisions, disciplined follow-up and clear accountability.
2. Provide Business Leadership
- Connect project decisions to Kerry’s broader strategic, operational and financial objectives.
- Challenge assumptions constructively and bring forward fact-based recommendations and trade-offs.
- Create clarity in ambiguous situations and help leaders focus on the few actions and decisions that matter most.
- Lead through influence across a matrixed organization, without relying on positional authority.
3. Establish Governance and Executive Visibility
- Establish fit-for-purpose project governance, decision rights, team routines and escalation paths.
- Lead project team and steering committee discussions with clear objectives, decisions and actions.
- Provide concise, transparent reporting on progress, value, risks, issues, dependencies and leadership requests.
- Escalate critical barriers early, with a clear assessment of impact and recommended mitigation.
4. Drive Stakeholder Alignment and Change
- Build alignment across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, RD&A, Procurement, Quality, IT and other enabling functions.
- Engage sponsors, business owners and impacted teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Anticipate resistance, clarify impacts and establish practical change, adoption and communication plans.
- Ensure ownership transfers effectively to the business and improvements are sustained after implementation.
5. Manage Value, Financials and Performance
- Partner with Finance and business owners to develop and maintain credible business cases.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, commitments and approved financial and non-financial benefits.
- Ensure value realization measures are defined, tracked and owned by the business.
- Use data and performance indicators to identify trends, test assumptions and drive corrective action.
6. Strengthen PMO Capability
- Apply Kerry PMO methodology, tools, templates and delivery standards consistently.
- Coach project team members and business partners in practical project leadership and execution disciplines.
- Lead post-implementation reviews and convert lessons learned into reusable playbooks and improved standards.
- Contribute to portfolio-level prioritization, resource discussions and continuous improvement of the PMO.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Project Management, Finance, Information Systems or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from definition through implementation and value realization.
Experience working across functions and organizational levels in a matrixed environment. Manufacturing, operations, supply chain, capital delivery or transformation experience is preferred.
Formal project management training and strong command of project planning, governance, reporting, risk management and collaboration tools.
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Lean Six Sigma or comparable certification is preferred.
The typical base salary hiring range for this role is $88,100 to $144,800 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
