About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Reliability Engineer to lead initiatives that improve equipment performance, minimize downtime, and maximize asset reliability across our manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will bring 5-10 years of reliability engineering experience within industrial manufacturing environments, preferably in the food and beverage, chemical, or related process industries. This role will identify and eliminate the root causes of equipment failures, develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and support continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence.
This position plays a critical role in supporting Kerry’s commitment to safety, quality, efficiency, and sustainable manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead investigations into equipment and process failures using Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and related methodologies.
- Develop and implement sustainable corrective actions to eliminate recurring failures.
- Analyze equipment history and failure data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs based on equipment criticality and failure history.
- Prioritize maintenance activities according to operational risk and business impact.
- Implement and manage predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, and ultrasonic testing.
- Analyze condition-monitoring results to identify early indicators of equipment deterioration.
- Monitor reliability of KPIs, including mean time between failures (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), equipment availability, and downtime trends.
- Develop and execute reliability improvement plans that enhance productivity and reduce maintenance costs.
- Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for maintenance and reliability best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, investigations, and reliability initiatives.

The typical hiring range for this role is $70,100 (minimum) to $109,050 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, locations, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a relateddiscipline.
- 5-10 years of reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or asset management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience within food and beverage, chemical processing, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
- Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), preferably SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM).
- Demonstrated success in reducing equipment downtime and improving asset performance.
CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) certification (Preferred)
