Working in close partnership with Material Planning, Production Scheduling, Transport Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement and Commercial teams, the role helps align customer demand, manufacturing capacity, inventory levels and service requirements.\nA key focus of the position is delivering an efficient and balanced supply plan that enables strong customer service performance (OTIF), optimizes inventory and working capital, and reduces operational risks while ensuring continuity of supply across the network.\nFull-time, on-site role\n5 days per week\nWorking hours: 08:00-16:30 or 09:00-17:00\n30-minute lunch break included\nKey responsibilities\nCreate and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term supply plans to meet customer demand and business needs.\nBalance demand requirements with manufacturing capacity, labour availability, and material constraints.\nManage planning alerts and exceptions, including projected shortages, capacity constraints, excess inventory, and service risks.\nDevelop and maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS) to optimize the use of manufacturing resources.\nMonitor inventory levels, weeks of cover, and stock-at-risk positions while contributing to inventory and working capital performance.\nPartner with Material Planning to address component shortages and enable effective execution of production plans.\nCoordinate supply recovery and mitigation activities in response to supply disruptions and operational constraints.\nContribute to monthly Supply Reviews and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes through scenario planning and risk assessment.\nPromote production plan adherence and identify opportunities to improve schedule stability and manufacturing efficiency.\nMonitor OTIF performance and implement improvement actions to enhance customer service levels.\nContribute to new product introductions, product transitions, delistings, and lifecycle management activities.\nReview slow-moving, obsolete, blocked, rework, and aged inventory to reduce waste and maximize inventory utilization.\nWork closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure alignment across the end-to-end supply plan.\nIdentify opportunities to improve planning master data, parameters, and processes.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on service performance, inventory optimization, planning accuracy, and operational efficiency.\nQualifications and skills\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Demand Planning, Logistics, or Procurement.\nWe welcome candidates from diverse educational and career pathways.\nExperience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, or related operational roles.\nExperience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.\nExperience in Food Ingredients, Flavours, Beverage, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or Process Manufacturing industries is advantageous but not essential.\nUnderstanding of S&OP, inventory management, and supply planning practices.\nProficiency in ERP systems (SAP experience is beneficial but not essential).\nExperience with planning tools such as SAP APO, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, or equivalent planning platforms is advantageous.\nStrong Excel skills are required.\nFamiliarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.\nStrong data interpretation and problem-solving capabilities.\nAbility to interpret data and make informed supply planning recommendations.\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.\nProactive approach to risk identification and issue resolution.\nContinuous improvement mindset.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to understand the broader business impact of planning choices.\nWhat we offer\n25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)\nMatched pension scheme\nAccess to our employee development platform and Udemy learning resources\nBenefits platform offering discounts and cashback at major retailers\nA collaborative and inclusive work environment with opportunities for career growth\nBeware of scams online or from individuals claiming to represent us.
