This is not simply our job, it’s our passion.\nAbout this Role\nThe hostess is a personal representation of the service and overall hospitality of the staff of the restaurant. While guests are waiting to be seated or waiting for take-out orders to be ready, it is the job of the hostess to ensure that the guests are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their orders or wait times. Propose aperitifs to the guests who have to wait. Take dinner feedback and compile guest preference and send to all dept concerned.\nKey Duties and Responsibilities\nSupervises and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to guests: Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners.\nGreets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.\nAdjusts complaints of guests.\nAssigns work tasks and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service.\nInspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, supplies for tables and serving stations.\nAssist in planning menus.\nPrepare beverages and expedite food orders.\nTotal receipts, at end of shift, to verify sales and clear cash register.\nCollect payment from customers.\nEnsure that kids finger games and drawing material are always available\nEnsure that the menu posters are clean at all time\nEnsure that there are Umbrellas, Reading lights, reading lamps, shawls as per agreed stock.\nTo upsell beach dinners and cross sell other outlets and departments during each interactions with guests.\nThe responsibilities of the hostess include monitoring the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables, estimating wait times for guests, monitoring the guest waiting list, and ensuring that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting. The hostess is often responsible for answering the telephone, booking reservations and moving tables together to accommodate large parties.\nAs guests arrive, the hostess assesses the dining room and, if an accommodating table is available, escorts the guests to the dining room. In some restaurants, hostesses are also responsible for taking initial drink orders. Depending on individual restaurant policy, hostesses either fill the drink order or give the information to the responsible food server. Upon returning to the station, hostesses also make any necessary changes to the dining room occupancy chart.\nAbout You\nDo not require previous restaurant experience to become a hostess but may require the hostesses to have the ability to read and write fluently (English and French) a third language is a plus, to take and follow instructions in both verbal and written form and to have the basic assessment and math skills to estimate wait times for guests and must be computer literate.\nOur brand is expanding faster than ever before.
