The Litigation Senior Specialist will review the status of the accounts and determine best course of action going forward on account and assist in execution. The selected candidate will also be responsible for all system updates.\nDuties:\nUnderstand the litigation process from start to finish for all applicable consumer accounts impacting KeyBank. \nReview and understand litigation documents and pleadings filed in state court.\nUpdate account status and routing in KeyBank’s internal systems as it relates to the status of the litigation.\nReview litigation files and how the litigation has treated KeyBank products\nMake sound recommendations when reviewing the litigation filings or review with outside attorneys\nMeet with management on process or issues that come up on accounts\nDemonstrate ability to independently problem solve and offer constructive solutions to issues as they arise\nAnswer emails and inquiries in a timely fashion and offer sound responses to other lines of business or vendors that have questions about the accounts\nParticipate and help manage projects in support of KeyBank’s internal initiatives\nPrepare documentation as related to litigation account and the status it is in (i.e. provide information for filing of litigation case or provide information to attorney regarding payments made on judgment and whether a judgment lien should be released)\nAdministratively manage various projects and assignments for the litigation team or other lines of business\nInteract with clients or attorneys and handle account maintenance\nMaintain and review invoicing to ensure billing is accurate; update the system for billing by attorney vendors\nRefer accounts to and speaking with vendor attorneys and answering any questions they may have regarding accounts\nOther duties as assigned\nExperience/Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nBachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certification preferred\nMiniumum 2 years of work experience as a paralegal or in litigation support is strongly preferred, in addition to\nMinimum 2 years in the following fields is preferred: Probate and estate planning, bankruptcy legal support, mortgage servicing, or loss mitigation\nStrong PC skills with digital literacy in Office365, Excel, and Adobe\nAvailability to work overtime when necessary, including possible weekends\nDetail oriented with ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/deadlines.\nPACER/CM-ECF navigation experience preferred\nKnowledge of KeyBank internal systems: CACS, CAS, ALS, CLS, MSP, Hogan, TSYS, Tymetrix and/or ASF is a plus.\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS\nThis position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $20.67 - $31.25 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
