This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop production processes, improve product quality and manufacturability, troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, and implement engineering changes. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex production problems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and identifying innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability within a manufacturing environment.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nConfers with design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods for electronic and optical products. \n Participates in manufacturability reviews, estimates production times and prepares/maintains routing steps.\nWorks with manufacturing Technicians to develop troubleshooting guides and automated tools to improve product reliability and throughput. \nDevelops processes and procedures for testing and assembling electronic and optical products\nReviews and creates Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to resolve production and/or supply chain issues. Investigates impact and coordinates transition plans for ECO changes through research in MRP.\nConfers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.\nAnalyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.\nMakes recommendations on test equipment for production.\nDevelops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods including processes, procedures, tool/tooling, equipment, fixtures/jigs etc.\nDesigns tool/tooling, equipment, fixtures/jigs etc.\nCreate estimates for non-standard items.\nResearches and evaluates manufacturing equipment and manages capital expenditure projects.\nQualifications\nQualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering with 4-10 years of relevant experience.\nCapable of process development and writing procedures. \nMust be able to communicate well with others at all levels. \nSome knowledge of MRP systems and general manufacturing business practices. \nAbility to read and critically review manufacturing drawings. \n3-D CAD system modeling and drafting experience, preferably CREO, is highly desirable.\nWhy work at Key?\nKey Technology offers a competitive benefits package for all full-time employees, including the following:\nMedical coverage through your choice of a high deductible health plan or a PPO plan.
