This role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing analytic data marts, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the development of trusted data assets. The Senior Associate will work cross-functionally with analytics, operations, and technology teams to solve business problems, improve data quality, and promote best practices in data usage.\nEssential Functions\nMaintain and enhance KeyBank’s Google Cloud-based Analytics Marts, including Star Marts and Analytic Data models.\nServe as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned data domains and marts.\nSupport enterprise data quality efforts, including testing, validation, and documentation.\nAnalyze large and small datasets to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.\nCollaborate onsite with operations and support teams to address tool functionality and capability gaps.\nParticipate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality releases and user experiences.\nEngage with the analytics community to promote data literacy, identify issues, and drive solutions.\nTranslate business needs into technical requirements and provide consulting on data usage.\nPartner with the Data Literacy team to integrate data concepts with lineage, cataloging, and governance.\nProvide thought leadership on the evolution of enterprise analytics and data strategy.\nSupport resolution of data incidents in collaboration onsite with LOB and technology partners.\nMentor and coach junior team members on best practices and emerging tools.\nEnsure alignment of data solutions with KeyBank’s technology roadmap and governance standards.\nPerforms other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice\nComplies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.\n Education\nBachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, or a related field (preferred)\nMaster's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)\n Work Experience\n5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data product management. (preferred)\nProficient in working with Google Cloud Platforms (preferred)\nExperience with enterprise data environments and federated analytics models (preferred)\n Licenses and Certifications\nTraining or certification in SQL, Python, or cloud platforms (preferred)\nFamiliarity with data governance, data cataloging, and data lineage tools (preferred)\nSkills\nThe process of examining, organizing, and interpreting data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that support business decision-making.\nThe ability to write and execute structured queries using languages like SQL to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data from databases.\nCreating clear and effective visual representations of data-such as charts, graphs, and dashboards-to communicate insights and support storytelling.\nThe use of tools, systems, and practices to transform raw data into meaningful insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.\nApplying policies, standards, and practices to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across the organization.\nDesigning logical and physical data structures that define how data is stored, related, and accessed within systems to support reporting and analytics.\nDeveloping recurring and ad hoc reports that summarize data findings and provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.\nThe ability to logically evaluate data, identify relationships, and draw conclusions to solve problems and support decision-making.\nUnderstanding and prioritizing the needs of internal and external clients when developing data solutions and delivering insights.\nAssisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.\nEffectively sharing information and working with cross-functional teams to solve problems, align on goals, and deliver results.\nIdentifying issues, analyzing root causes, and developing practical solutions using data and critical thinking.\nUnderstanding how to work with cloud-based data platforms and tools, including data storage, processing, and analytics capabilities.\nProvide technical and development guidance to junior staff to build team capability.\nCore Competencies\nAll KeyBank employees are expected to demonstrate Key’s Values and abide by Key’s Code of Conduct.\nPhysical Demands\nGeneral Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.\n Work Location Category\nHybrid (3+ days)\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS\nThis position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
