We are a small organization that operates globally and you will be asked to think creatively and take on other projects as needed such as running a podcast. We are also launching several new products that will require building a new set of communications tasks to industries new to the organization.\nKey responsibilities\nBrand voice and messaging\nOwn and maintain Keycafe's messaging framework, tone of voice and style guide\nTranslate technical product capabilities (SmartBox, cloud platform, API, integrations) into clear benefits for each audience and industry\nReview customer-facing copy across teams for consistency and quality\nContent and storytelling\nPlan and manage the editorial calendar for the blog, website, email newsletter and resource library\nWrite and edit blog posts, web pages, product launch copy, one-pagers, sales enablement materials and email campaigns\nInterview customers and produce case studies, testimonials and short video stories with customer success and sales\nPR and media relations\nWrite and distribute press releases for product launches, partnerships, customer wins and company milestones\nBuild relationships with trade media in automotive, hospitality, property management and facilities, plus Vancouver and Canadian tech press\nPitch stories, prepare spokespeople with briefing notes, and track coverage\nIdentify and submit to industry awards and speaking opportunities\nSocial media and community\nManage Keycafe's company LinkedIn and other social channels: plan, write, publish and engage\nSupport employee advocacy so the team shares Keycafe content\nMonitor conversations about Keycafe, competitors and our industries\nDevelop a Keycafe podcast and interview customers and industry specialists about their own industries for general awareness not just about key management. \nCustomer, partner and internal communications\nWrite product update announcements, release notes summaries and customer newsletters with product and customer success\nProduce co-marketing content with partners and integration partners\nSupport internal communications such as all-hands updates and company announcements\nEvents, measurement and operations\nSupport trade shows and industry events with booth messaging, collateral and pre- and post-event communications\nReport monthly on communications KPIs (share of voice, coverage, engagement, traffic, content-influenced pipeline)\nManage freelancers or agencies as needed and keep the asset library organized\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field\n3 to 5 years of experience in communications, PR or content marketing, with at least 2 years in B2B SaaS, technology or a related B2B environment\nExcellent writing and editing skills in English, with a portfolio showing range: long-form content, press releases, case studies, web copy and social posts\nProven ability to explain technical products in plain, persuasive language for business buyers\nExperience with media relations: writing releases, pitching journalists and securing coverage\nExperience running a company LinkedIn presence and creating content for social channels\nStrong project management: you can run several projects at once and hit deadlines\nComfortable working closely with sales, customer success, product and leadership, and interviewing customers\nComfortable using AI writing and research tools responsibly to work faster while keeping quality high\nLegally entitled to work in Canada and able to work from our Vancouver office 4+ days a week\nBenefits\nExtended health and dental coverage\nPaid vacation and personal days\nProfessional development budget for courses, conferences or memberships\nAttend Team events\nOpportunity to build and grow within a scaling SaaS/IoT company. \nWork with a tangible, innovative product already trusted by businesses worldwide. \nCareer growth and visibility -
