Delivering outcomes not simply completing given tasks.\n\nProviding technical direction to other engineers and teams.\n\nActing, when required, as a technical project lead / de facto technical project manager, particularly for initiatives that span multiple teams or platforms.\n\nDefine multiyear roadmaps and technical vision for your technology areas.\n\nOwnership of Strategic Work\nLeading key strategic initiatives for the team, which could involve technologies outside of experience or comfort.\n\nTaking accountability for delivery of high-impact, business-critical projects.\n\nOwning delivery even when elements fall outside your core technical expertise.\n\nOperating in Ambiguity\nAble to work effectively with high levels of ambiguity and incomplete information.\n\nApplying broad, structured and creative thinking to solve complex problems.\n\nActing as a thought leader, not just an executor.\n\nDemonstrating strong self-starting behaviour, identifying problems and opportunities without direction.\n\nKey Duties & Responsibilities\nWork as part of a team to define, design and implement the Platform Infrastructure used within our hybrid cloud locations.\n\nBe “the company expert” and technical authority for your technologies\n\nKeep up-to-date with new and emerging technologies that could benefit the services and platform products that Keyloop provide and supply.\n\nProvide 3rd line support escalation to the Infrastructure Support/Operations teams. Provide technical training to those backline and operations teams as required.\n\nSupport the team in selecting products and partners, providing all necessary documentation for launch, implementation and support of designated products.\n\nPerform technical POCs and solution validations & recommendations.\n\nBe involved in data centre & infrastructure refresh and migration activities.\n\nMaster Operating System gold image ownership.\n\nDesigning and delivering Linux Services with security at its core. Analysing potential opportunities for improvement and provide remediation plans for security vulnerabilities.\n\nEssential Skills/Abilities:\nHave deep understanding of Linux Server technologies and tooling. For example, Foreman/Redhat Satellite, SELinux, kernel internals, Oracle Linux/Amazon Linux, AWS Patch Manager and performance tuning.\n\nHave experience of dealing with large scale infrastructure, consisting of thousands of individual servers.\n\nDesigning and configuration management with security controls in mind.\n\nExperience of antivirus and endpoint security protection techniques and tools.\n\nHave experience in designing, implementing and operationalising technology solutions.\n\nHave delivered programs of work to automate manual activities, applying configuration settings across the enterprise, and centrally deploy systems and tooling.\n\nExhibit strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.\n\nBe able to manage and deliver multiple parallel projects.\n\nDesirable Skills/Abilities (but not essential):\nAs we progress our strategy of moving more workloads to public cloud, an understanding of AWSor Microsoft Azure technologies, tools and services would be a distinct advantage.\n\nHaving experience of utilising Jira for work management and time tracking.\n\nExposure to ISO27001 or SOC2 audits.\n\nExperience of using PowerShell or Ansible/Terraform to deliver infrastructure as code.\n\nHave experience of SaaS, Iaas & PaaS solutions and offerings.\n\nExperience of containers/Kubernetes would be
