for complex, team-sized projects spanning multiple sprints\nLead technical design and architecture discussions within the team, ensuring solutions align with platform strategy\nOwn the end-to-end delivery of major features: from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring\nDrive engineering best practices including code quality standards, testing strategies, CI/CD improvements, and effective use of AI-assisted development tools\nMentor and coach IC1 and IC2 engineers, accelerating their technical growth through pairing, code reviews, and guidance\nBe accountable for the operational health and reliability of the team's systems, including incident response and post-mortems\nFacilitate technical discussions and build consensus on architectural and design decisions\nCollaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders to shape the team's roadmap and technical approach\nIdentify and drive process improvements that increase team Qualifications\nRequired:\nDeep software engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns, system design, and distributed systems principles\nStrong proficiency in at least one programming language, with a proven track record of picking up new languages, frameworks, and paradigms quickly\nProven ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable, and well-tested software systems regardless of the underlying tech stack\nStrong experience with modern development practices: TDD/BDD, CI/CD, code reviews, and automated testing\nSolid understanding of cloud-native concepts, infrastructure patterns, and platform-level thinking\nExperience with data modelling, query optimization, and working across different database paradigms\nUnderstanding of API design, service-oriented architectures, event-driven patterns, and integration strategies\nExperience with monitoring, observability, and incident management practices\nProficiency in leveraging AI-assisted and AI-driven development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, agentic coding workflows) to accelerate development, architectural exploration, and technical problem-solving\nA tech stack agnostic
