This role is ideal for engineers who have moved beyond foundational learning and are ready to take ownership of meaningful deliverables within a collaborative, agile environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain software features across the Keyloop platform with increasing independence \nWrite clean, well-structured, and thoroughly tested code that meets team coding standards and best practices \nParticipate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and incorporating feedback from peers \nCollaborate with Product, Design, and QA to translate requirements into technical solutions \nContribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives within an Agile/Scrum framework \nTroubleshoot and resolve defects, contributing to the operational health of the team's systems \nCreate and maintain technical documentation for features and components you own \nOnboard new team members and begin mentoring more junior engineers (IC1s, interns) \nProactively identify and suggest improvements to code quality, tooling, and development processes \nLeverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, learning, and adapting to new technologies and codebases \nRequired Technical Skills & Qualifications:\nStrong software engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented/functional programming principles \nProficiency in at least one programming language, with the ability and willingness to learn new languages and frameworks as needed \nExperience writing unit tests, integration tests, and practicing test-driven or test-informed development \nFamiliarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines \nUnderstanding of core software architecture concepts: APIs, services, databases, and modern application design \nComfortable working in Agile/Scrum development environments \nProficiency in leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate coding, debugging, and learning new technologies \nA tech stack agnostic mindset: we value engineers who can adapt to any technology with strong fundamentals and AI-assisted tooling \n2-4 years of professional software development experience \nNice to Have Technical Skills & Qualifications:\nExperience working across multiple programming languages or tech stacks \nExposure to cloud platforms, containerization, or modern infrastructure concepts \nExperience with AI-driven development workflows, including prompt engineering for code generation and automated testing \nExperience in the automotive, DMS, or SaaS product domain \nDemonstrated ability to quickly ramp up on unfamiliar codebases or technologies using AI-assisted tools \nWhat Success Looks Like:\nWithin the first 3 months, you are shipping features independently and contributing clean, well-tested code with minimal rework \nWithin 6 months, you are accurately estimating your own work, reliably delivering within sprint commitments, and onboarding new team members \nWithin 12 months, you are a trusted contributor who proactively improves code quality and team processes, and you are beginning to mentor IC1 engineers \nYou consistently demonstrate the ability to pick up new technologies and codebases quickly, leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate your learning curve \nYour peers and manager see you as a positive influence on team culture, someone who collaborates openly and gives constructive feedback \nWhat Sets This Role Apart:\nTech stack agnostic philosophy: you will not be boxed into a single language or framework.
