You'll work closely withBilling, Sales, Customer Success and Credit Risk.\nKey responsibilities\nLead, coach and develop a team of 7+ collections analysts, settingclear KPIs and objectives, hold regular 1:1s to monitor progress, and manage team performance effectively\n\nOwn collection targets, including overdue balances, DSO and cash receipts, and report progress to senior stakeholders\n\nReview the aged debt portfolio, prioritise high-value and high-risk accounts and set collection strategies\n\nLead regular debt review meetings, ensuring clear actions, ownership and follow-up on overdue and high-risk accounts\n\nIdentify accounts at risk of bad debt and ensure timely escalation, documentation and recommendations for provisioning or write-off\n\nManage escalations and resolve invoice disputes with Billing, Sales and Customer Success\n\nEnsure accurate cash application, allocation, credit offset, unpaid cash and account reconciliation\n\nSupport credit risk activity, including credit holds, payment plans and inputs to bad debt provisioning\n\nPrepare weekly and monthly collections reports, forecasts and variance commentary\n\nIdentify and drive process improvements and automation opportunities across the Order to Cash cycle\n\nWork collaboratively across Finance, Sales, Billing, Legal and Customer Success to address root causes of overdue debt and improve the overall customer payment experience\n\nEnsure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements and company policies\n\nBuild a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture\n\nAd-hoc projects to support the business\n\nSkills and experience\nEssential\n5 years' experience in collections, credit control or accounts receivable, including 3 years in a team lead or supervisory role\n\nStrong understanding of the Order to Cash process and AR metrics (days sales outstanding, ageing, collection effectiveness index, average days delinquent)\n\nProven ability to manage and motivate a team to meet targets\n\nExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with confidence engaging senior customer contacts\n\nStrong analytical and Excel skills\n\nExperience with an ERP or AR system (for example [NetSuite / AI / Salesforce / Navision)\n\nDesirable\nBachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, CICM or a related field (or 5+ years equivalent experience)\n\nExperience in SaaS, technology or automotive sectors\n\nExposure to multi-currency and multi-region collections\n\nExperience working in fast paced complex environment\n\nExperience with collections tools or automation (for example [AI / Power BI)\n\nFamiliarity with process improvement methods\n\nBehaviours and competencies\nTakes ownership and accountability for results\n\nPuts the customer first, with a calm and professional approach to difficult conversations\n\nCoaches and develops people\n\nPays attention to detail and stays committed to control and compliance\n\nCollaborates well, adapts quickly and works comfortably in a changing environment\n\nWhat we offer\n[Benefits, flexible working, learning and development.
