The Application Engineer for Technical Support is a key player in the customer value-chain and you are critical in supporting our customer’s technical problems.\nWe are looking for an experiencedRF&µW Component Test application/product specialistengineer who can demonstratea broad knowledge of instrumentation, applicationsand technologies.Youwill develop toget the‘go to’ knowledge expert within KTASand will engage with customer and partners across EMEAto deliver post-sales customer support.\nYou will bea key contributor to the KTASEMEA regional strategy and will work across KTASto lead projects requiring coordination with other functions, customers, thirdparties.\nAs a successful candidate you have a real passion for customer successand enjoy taking on complextechnical challenges working in a customer facingdeep technicalenvironment.\nResponsibilities\nEngage with customers, salesand/or service representativesacross EMEA to deliver post-sales customer support, solving technical questions of varied scope and complexity.\n\nManage day to day operations and workload expectationsautonomously.\n\nShare technical expertiseacross the EMEA teamandwrite deep technical articlesfor the customer knowledgebase.\n\nClose cooperation with the Keysight product and softwareand solutioncentres. The Application Engineer for Technical Supportis the technical interface between the customers and the Keysight Worldwide support team.\n\nTake proactive actions while interacting with customers in terms of solving current questionsor addressing potential future needs.\n\nDeliver “Getting Started” and “Start Up Assistance” to customers remote and onsite.\n\nDevelop intothe Component Test knowledge expert within KTAS for products and solutions.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor and/or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related science discipline.\n\nTypically, 4/6 years relevant experience working in Vector Network Analysis, Impedance Analysis and DC Device Parameter Analysis.\n\nFamiliarity with calibration techniques, like SOLT, TRL, De-embedding in coax, waveguide and on-wafer.\n\nExperience in testing passive and active components from filters to high power amplifier or mixers with VNAs.\n\nSolid understanding of modern VNA measurements beyond S-Parameters like, gain compression, IMD, Noise Figure.\n\nSolid understanding of RF/µW fundamentals with practical experience using RF/µW test equipment, with experinece in generation, demodulation and analysis of digital communication signals.\nInstrument programming skills with SCPI and instrument drivers with C++, C#, VEE, LabView, Python, MATLAB ® or VB, is an advantage.\n\nOrganisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise and work well under pressure.\n\nA strong level of English language is required.
