Our ~16,800 employees create world-class solutions in communications, 5G, automotive, energy, quantum, aerospace, defense, and semiconductor markets for customers in over 100 countries. Learn more about what we do.\nOur award-winning culture embraces a bold vision of where technology can take us and a passion for tackling challenging problems with industry-first solutions. We believe that when people feel a sense of belonging, they can be more creative, innovative, and thrive at all points in their careers.\nResponsibilities\nAbout this Team\nOur team, part of Keysight Laboratories’ High Frequency Technology Center (HFTC), builds and supports hardware and software solutions that electrically test Process Control Monitors (PCM’s) on wafers made in Keysight’s Santa Rosa wafer fabrication facilities. HFTC’s ability to rapidly innovate and deliver the world’s best high frequency technology provides fundamental differentiation for electronic measurement products. The responsibility of an In-Fab Wafer Test Engineer is to facilitate rapid data acquisition of electrical performance of on-wafer PCM’s, ensuring first-pass, quality data is sent to our Integration Engineering Team. In parallel, this on-wafer electrical data provides critical feedback to Process Engineers, ensuring their semiconductor processes are behaving as expected.\nAbout this Role\nThis role will maintain and craft on-wafer DC, microwave, and millimeter wave measurements for Keysight’s own III-V integrated Process Control Monitors (PCM’s) and Si integrated PCM’s. Test development spans exploratory R&D design validation of cutting-edge devices and automated small volume test of PCM’s designed and manufactured in-house. These measurements are essential for evaluating the health and status of our wafers at critical test junctions within the routing. This role works closely with Integration, Process, NTI, Design, and other Test Engineers to ensure the on-wafer data is of the highest integrity and accurately depicts the lot health.\nElicit test requirements from Process, New Technology, Integration, and Design Engineers\n\nModernize and Implement New Test Infrastructure\n\nDebug Test Software & Algorithm bugs/issues\n\nAdvise on and select test equipment and measurement algorithms\n\nDesign and develop RF and DC test plans\n\nTest and validate circuits and test plans\n\nIteratively improve and optimize\n\nInvestigate and resolve issues\n\nStreamline wafer pass/fail decisions\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field with 4+ years of relevant experience in the testing and troubleshooting of RF, analog, and digital circuits (MS/PhD with job, internship, or applicable post doc experience)\n\nUnderstanding of microwave measurements\n\nUnderstanding of Semiconductor Device Processing\n\nUnderstanding of Semiconductor Device Physics\n\nExperience using electrical test instrumentation or automated test\n\nAbility and desire to work on rapidly paced projects with several design tasks\n\nExcellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills\n\nDesired Skills\nExperience in:\n\nOn-wafer electrical test and microwave calibration\n\nExpertise in Analog circuit design and analysis\n\nSoftware development\n\nAutomating electrical test\n\nSemiconductor device physics\n\nStatistical analysis and process improvement\n\nC#, .NET, and Visual Studio\n\nPrinted circuit board (PCB) layout\n\nMechanical design CAD\n\nSPECS Test Framework Experience\n\nLocation: This role requires an in-person, hands-on engineer who can physically work with the test systems in Santa Rosa, CA. \nThis position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
