We believe that when people feel a sense of belonging, they can be more creative, innovative, and thrive at all points in their careers.\nAbout the Role:\nWe are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in RFIC, MMIC, RF module, or analog/mixed-signal layout, combined with an interest in advancing layout automation and design productivity.\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and optimizing complex high-frequency IC layouts, with practical understanding of RF layout considerations such as device placement, matching, routing, shielding, isolation, passive structures, parasitic effects, and electromagnetic interactions.\nThis role is primarily focused on RFIC/MMIC layout and physical design, while also providing opportunities to contribute to layout automation through Python, parameterized layout generation, and collaboration with software and automation engineers.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop physical layouts for RF, microwave, and analog integrated circuits.\nWork closely with circuit designers to translate schematics into high-quality, manufacturable layouts.\nApply RF/analog layout techniques including device matching, symmetry, shielding, grounding, isolation, and parasitic optimization.\nLayout active devices and passive structures such as transistors, resistors, capacitors, inductors, transmission lines, and matching networks.\nOptimize layouts for electrical performance, area, manufacturability, and reliability.\nPerform and debug DRC, LVS, and other physical verification checks.\nSupport layout iterations based on simulation, extraction, and design feedback.\nUse Python scripting to improve productivity and automate repetitive layout and design-flow tasks.\nIdentify opportunities to improve existing layout workflows through automation.\nCollaborate with software and automation engineers to translate practical layout requirements into automated solutions.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nStrong hands-on experience in RFIC, microwave, analog, or mixed-signal IC layout.\nSolid understanding of RF and analog layout techniques and physical design considerations.\nExperience with industry-standard IC layout and physical verification tools.\nExperience with DRC, LVS, and parasitic-aware layout.\nAbility to work closely with RF/analog circuit designers.\nWorking knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages.\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with MMIC/RFIC design and layout.\nExperience with technologies such as GaAs, GaN, SiGe, RF CMOS, or other RF semiconductor processes.\nFamiliarity with Python-based scripting or layout workflow automation.\nExperience developing or working with reusable/parameterized layout structures.\nInterest in improving engineering productivity through automation.\nCareers Privacy Statement\nKeysight Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
